Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples of Jesus Christ OUR LADY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Come and See: An Invitation to Become Catholic As you ponder what you might say to a friend, co-worker or family member about becoming Catholic, to live a Catholic life and to receive Jesus Christ in His sacraments, first consider: • How has your Catholic faith supported you in life’s difficult moments? • What is a gift your Catholic faith has given you? • How and when does your Catholic faith bring you close to Jesus? The journey to become Catholic takes many forms and starts from many different directions. The process can begin with an invitation, a question, or simply a desire to know more and discover what the Catholic faith believes. Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Page 3 OLL Knights of Columbus All American Summer Food Drive To Benefit St.Vincent de Paul July 1 to September 9, 2018

Being “food insecure” means that families find it hard to put food on the table on a consistent basis and often do not know where their next meal will come from. Being classified as a “hungry household” indicates families whose food insecurity is so severe they are often forced to skip meals or eat too little on an ongoing basis. This is particularly harmful for children’s development.

Your generous donations to all three Knights of Columbus annual food drives help families and individuals at risk for food insecurity feed themselves on a more regular basis.

As Pope Francis said, “First you pray for the hungry. Then you feed them. This is how prayer works.” Your prayers in the form of action on the part of the vulnerable in our area are so greatly appreciated!
