ANNUAL NEW YEARS’S DAY GALA TUESDAY, JANUARY 1sT 2019 1-4 pm IN THE VILLAGE THEATER This has become a marvelous tradition: starting the New Year with a Gala Brunch on January 1st. He is the creator of the website Musicals 101.com: The Cyber Encyclopedia of Musical Theater, TV and Film. He will present HAMILTON: THE MAN, THE MUSICAL, THE POP CULTURE PHENOMENON. This is a multimedia experience with photos, performance videos and fascinating insight into the creation of “Hamilton”, the ground-breaking musical. John combines a passion for the Broadway stage with in-depth knowledge of the subject, the writer and performers that create a total theater experience. Following lunch with your neighbors and friends, SAC will treat you to a film of your choice. Tickets will be distributed at the Wild Fig during lunch. RITA RUDNER SUNDAY, APRIL 28th 3:00PM AT QUEENSBOROUGH COLLEGE THEATER Comedian, writer and actress, Rita Rudner, holds the title for the “Longest Running Solo Comedy Show in Las Vegas history.” Rudner started her career as a dancer, performing in the original Broadway productions of , Mac and Mable and . She noticed the lack of female comedians in and turned to stand-up comedy, where she has flourished for over three decades. Her observational and non- obscene style not only worked for her, but propelled her to stardom. She has appeared on several HBO specials, as well as The Tonight Show and Late Night with David Letterman. This will be a wonderful afternoon of fun and funny entertainment.
