When he hits the stage, not only will he entertain you, he’ll also carry on the legacy of his father, the late Jackie Wilson. Two decades, countless performances and an album later, Bobby wants to think of his voice as a more raw approach to the traditional clean-cut Motown sound. It lies somewhere between the raspy tones of James Brown and the rich croons of his father. Ask him about his vocals, however, and he’ll say otherwise. “I don’t think I sound like him at all.” “I just do me!” Jackie Wilson’s shadow will always linger over him onstage. “If they see him, I hope they enjoy him. If they see me, I hope they enjoy me.” Overall, Bobby’s performance is a wildly impressive show for any Jackie Wilson fan! When you leave, you take nothing with you but your hurting cheeks, the tears in your eyes from the constant barrage of stories and one-liners and a feeling that you have just seen something special. John Pizzi is one of the hottest comics in the entertainment industry with his unique brand of comedy. Starring in a one man show with a high energy comedy and ventriloquism.

Good night from New York. LISA KENNEDY MONTGOMERY, FOX BUSINESS NETWORK HOST: The Senate's top Republican has a warning for Democrats. Quit delaying, obstructing, and resisting the confirmation vote for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. And it comes amid a new poll showing more Americans think that Supreme Court nominee is the target of a politically motivated smear campaign. Now, as you know, the FBI is currently investigating claims that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted several women back in the 1980s. Among them Dr. Christine Blasey Ford who testified against him last week. She says she's a hundred percent sure Kavanaugh drunkenly attacked her in high school. Kavanaugh of course denies everything. And moments ago President Trump defended his nominee at a rally in T-E-N-N-E-S-S-E-E, Tennessee. Watch. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) DONALD TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Democrats are willing to do anything and to hurt anyone to get their way like they're doing with Judge Kavanaugh. • My Night with the Happy Hooker
My night with the Happy Hooker She was a faded porn star. I was a struggling actor. Together we rocked Amsterdam By Kerry Shale Guardian Monday January 4, 1999 Edinburgh, 1997. I've just finished a performance of my solo show The Prince Of West End Avenue when Amelia, my demure young stage manager, appears backstage ashen-faced and trembling: 'There's a... a... lady who says she needs to speak to you. It has to be right away!' Pacing the street outside the Assembly Rooms is a fabulously upholstered grande dame with vixen eyes and gunmetal-grey hair. Her sexual energy shimmers through a rainbow-hued tent dress. An offer/demand is tendered in Dutch-accented English: 'My name is Xaviera Hollander. I am a writer. Come to Amsterdam. Stay at my house. You will perform your show in my front room for 60 people.' There is something familiar about those vixen eyes. Now I remember! They used to crown a column in Penthouse magazine: monthly advice on every imaginable sexual permutation. This is the woman who scaled the heights of the American sex industry, who rose from novice call girl to madam of New York's best-connected brothel, who wrote the ultimate porn bestseller. I am being commanded to perform in the home of the Happy Hooker. I mumble something noncommittal and flee in a taxi. My show cannot be performed in a front room. It's a proper play in which I act out all 14 characters. I need sound, lights and a stage manager. Her offer is ridiculous.

Aji Page 1 10/13/09 Hélène Aji Université du Maine « The Weather [to]Day » Overexposure to and of the Media in Kenneth Goldsmith’s Work “All the News that’s Fit to Print” The New York Times Late Edition New York: Today, mostly cloudy, high 83. Tonight, warm and muggy, low 73. Tomorrow, cloudy with a few showers, high 80. Yesterday, high 83, low 7. Weather map is on Page A20. (Day 11) A couple of breaks of sunshine over the next couple of hours, what little sunshine there is left. Remember, this is the shortest day of the year. Looks like the clear skies hold off till later on tonight. It will be brisk and cold, low temperatures will range from twenty-nine in some suburbs to thirty-eight in midtown. Not a bad shopping day tomorrow, sunshine to start, then increasing clouds, still breezy, with a high near fifty. (The Weather 3) Over the span of nine books and some fifteen years, Kenneth Goldsmith, now in his forties, living in New York and working in Philadelphia, unfolds what he calls in turn a poetics of uncreativity and a poetics of boredom. Each text draws from the quotidian in its most minute details to produce text that is either borrowed and collaged or simply transcribed. In Day (2003), he types down the September 1, 2000 issue of the New York Times from the top left of the front page to the bottom right of the last page, thus producing an impressive volume of highly tedious thus hardly legible text of 836 pages.
