Fenway Park at 100 ffMonday March 26 at 9 p.m. FENWAY PARK AT 100 celebrates the centennial of the oldest (and smallest) ballpark in America. Using a Red Sox/ Yankees game as a thread, the film tells the story of Fenway’s long history as a venue for sports and as a public space: masses for WWI soldiers, a 1922 Irish Republican rally, FDR’s last presidential campaign speech, by Bruce Springsteen and others. A decade ago, it looked as though Fenway would be largely destroyed and replaced with a new ballpark. Luckily, wiser heads prevailed and one of Boston’s most popular attractions, and a landmark for baseball fans everywhere, survived.

Judy Garland remains one of the greatest performers of all time. She captured audiences The Bee Gees are one of the best-selling music groups of all time, with hits spanning mul- with her extraordinary singing and acting in “A Star is Born,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and tiple decades and genres of music. Complete with extravagant lighting, an appearance by many other films and shows. The famed performer belts out duets with other performing Olivia Newton-John, and candid moments that can only be captured by the camera, the greats such as Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand and Mickey Rooney. Using ‘60s era clips, performance features such hits as “You Should be Dancing/Alone,” the moving melody of this nostalgic performance special is a pleasant look back on a lively time in show business. “Massachusetts,” the funky flare of “I’ve Just Got to Get a Message to You,” “Words” and The show opens with the familiar “The Trolley Song,” happily performed with Mel Torme. “Morning of my Life,” with the popular, crowd rocking favorites “Night Fever,” “More than Between performances, humorous banter and a few “Wizard of Oz” jokes show the good a Woman” and “Lonely Days.” This segment also includes video footage of John Travolta in relationships that Garland has among her contemporary performers. Barbra Streisand Saturday Night Fever, effectively taking the audience back in time to the disco era. Honor- joins Garland for a playful medley celebrating love. Steve Jobs – One Last Thing ffWednesday March 21 at 9 p.m. Gain unique insight into what made Steve Jobs tick. There has been near-universal agreement that the late Apple founder was a great innovator in business and technology, but why was he great? What were the influ- ences that shaped his character and drove him to such success from humble beginnings? With colleagues who worked closely with him and those who have chronicled his life, take an unflinching look at the mercurial, brilliant man and review his many talents and achievements.

Featuring interviews with, among others, Ronald Wayne, co-founder of Apple with Jobs and Steve Wozniak; Ross Perot, who invested in NeXT Computer when Jobs was running out of money; Walt Mossberg, principal technology columnist for The Wall Street Journal, who interviewed Jobs every year from 2003-2010; Robert Palladino, calligraphy professor at Reed College, whose classes Jobs credited with inspiring his typography design for the Mac; and Bill Fernandez, who introduced Jobs and Wozniak in Sunnyvale, where the three hung out in his father’s garage and tinkered with electronics.

In a never-before-broadcast interview from 1994, Jobs expounds on his philosophy of life: “You tend to get told that the world is the way it is, but life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact; and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up by people no smarter than you … Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”

In his many successful Apple product launches, Jobs developed his own catchphrase to tease his audiences. Appearing to reach the end of a presentation, he would then announce to the expectant crowd: “Oh — one more thing,” before unveiling his latest design achievement. This documentary exploration of the life of one of America’s most successful innovators and entrepreneurs pays homage to his famous presentational skills and his unique talents.
