Situation • Myles house is situated in Ashmead, a small rural hamlet situated between the villages of Cam and , in beautiful semi-wooded countryside on the lower reaches of the Cotswold Hills escarpment, in an area designated as being of outstanding natural beauty.

Significant alterations were made to the house in 1913, including the addition of a wing, and these improvements, which incorporate a fine open well oak staircase with diamond balusters and oak casement leaded light windows, are very much in the Arts and Crafts style. • The house is built of local stone under a traditional stone- tile roof and has an impressive multi-gabled front façade, which is colour wash rendered and has a decorative panel inscribed 1705 and 1913.
