As a result of survey, the proportion of the symbolical beauty was highest insummer season and beauty of brevity and beauty of variation followed and the proportion of beauty of variation was highest and the symbolical beauty and beauty of brevity followed after that in winter season. This study found the way of expressing image of one's own country in sports uniform through this article, expecting the exact recognition on sports uniform and the diversity of sports uniform design in which the images of the nation are expressed more variously. • Influence of Physical Properties of Hockey Stick Blade on Shots
Influence of Physical Properties of Hockey Stick Blade on Shots Martin Plesch1, 2, Samuel Jan´ Plesn´ık3, and Natalia´ Ruˇzickovˇ a´ 4, * 1Institute of Physics, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovak Republic 2Institute of Computer Science, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic 3Prve´ Sukromn´ e´ Gymnazium,´ Bratislava, Slovak Republic 4Institute of Science and Technology, Klosterneuburg, Austria *[email protected] ABSTRACT Parameters of a shot of an ice hockey player are mostly determined by the capabilities of the player and the physical properties of the stick used. To reach better performance, every hockey player uses also a hockey tape for an adjustment of the stick blade, that changes both the damping properties as well as the friction coefficient of the blade surface. To show the unexpected extent to which these physical properties of the blade affect the shot, we compared two types of blade cover: traditional tape (rolled onto the blade) and a blade sticker that adheres to both sides of the hockey stick blade. We analysed high-speed recordings of two types of shots by 13 players, ranging from amateurs and junior players to NHL superstars. The two covers differ greatly in friction coefficient and stiffness, which results in significantly (more than 99% confidence) greater speed, rotation and energy when using the stiffer and rougher sticker. 1 Introduction Ice hockey sticks have experienced a gradual development in recent decades. Progress in material science allowed the replacement of widely used wood by composite materials that nowadays represent the standard for hockey players worldwide. Broad usage of new materials like aluminium and composites has become an interesting topic for research as well.

  • Wilson Ball Cleaning Recommendations
What chemicals can clean our game balls without altering performance? Our primary recommendation is to follow CDC, state and local guidelines for health and safety. The following widely accepted definitions are relevant to composite leather, PU leather, and leather game ball care (CDC reference): There are several different methods for sanitizing and disinfecting composite leather, PU leather, and leather game product. Each customer should utilize the method that fits their health and safety protocols and the playing environment and timing needs. Simple Game Ball Cleaning Method To clean the ball, players may wish to use dish soap and water. While this practice may be likened to hand washing, note that all soap residue must be rinsed away and that drying time on each ball product may vary. An example cleaning regimen with soap and water includes: 1. Add 1 tablespoon of mild dish soap into a 1-gallon container. 2. Fill bucket with warm water, until a soapy mixture is formed. 3. Wet a first towel with the solution, wring out excess water, and gently wipe down entire product surface for at least 30 seconds. 4. Re-wet towel with plain warm water, wring out excess water, and wipe off excess soap from ball surface. 5. Rub a second, dry towel on the surface to wipe and dry off. 6. Let product air out overnight. Quick Turn Leather Game Ball Cleaning Method To clean the ball with faster turnaround times, we reference the following recommendations. The CDC released a list (referred to as ‘List N’) of effective disinfectants for disabling SARS-CoV-2 (i.e., the virus that causes Covid-19 disease) on hard, nonporous surfaces.

  • Stick Making Guide
How To Make a Broomball Stick: An Introductory Guide Created by: Justin Hicks Ben Hoover Michael W. Johnson Tyler Schwartz Introduction Broomball has become a tradition for many Michigan Tech students during the long winter months in Houghton, Michigan. The following guide provides step‐by‐ step instructions on how to make a broomball stick for IRHC Broomball at Michi‐ gan Technological University. It is best suited for individuals who have never con‐ structed a broomball stick before. It can also be used as an instructional resource for those teaching others how a broomball stick is constructed. The guide will lay out the general procedure for constructing a broomball stick. The guide will also discuss different styles of broomball sticks that can be made and the IRHC rules and regulations that pertain to the construction of broomball sticks. Remember that this guide is intended only for those individual who going to be competing in IRHC Broomball at Michigan Tech. Broom Diagram (Yes, this is a diagram of a broom!) This diagram points out some im‐ portant parts of the broom, but more importantly, gives them a standard name that will be used throughout the rest of the guide. Estimated at $33.1 billion2 today, this sector provides apparel and accessories to a wide range of professionals, including construction workers, nurses, firefighters, and cafeteria workers. Investors have recognized the opportunity in the segment, which has resulted in substantially higher M&A activity compared to the rest of the apparel industry as well as higher valuations for uniform and workwear companies in the public markets compared to basic apparel companies. With competition and volatility continuing to increase in the apparel and retail landscape, private equity firms and strategics are being very selective towards the apparel targets they decide to pursue. In today’s environment, there is heightened interest for brands that have a purpose-driven/ functional component or a unique passionate consumer following. While capturing the attention and dollars of the Millennial generation may be a moving target for many fashion apparel brands, uniform and workwear providers serve a growing, stable and recurring market. The category is largely resistant to trends and consumer preferences, decreasing the risk for potential acquirers.
