A suivre donc.

  • Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Briefing | FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2020
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Briefing | FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2020 MAYOR GARCETTI: Good evening, Los Angeles, and thank you again for joining me. We’ve now been staying safer at home for four full weeks. And there is no question that we need to keep staying at home. And I want to thank you for the lives you have saved and the lives that you have connected during this crisis with each other. There is no question that this has been a rough ride for everybody and this was a tough week. We buried more dead this week than we have in any other week during this crisis. And we diagnosed nearly 3,000 more Angelenos just this week alone. MAYOR GARCETTI: But in the midst of tears and facing the tragedy that we have, you have stepped up. You have been incredible first responders. You have shown the heart of this city and you have shown the guts of Los Angeles. You have shown LA love, and for that I am so grateful. There is a lot of news out there that people are starting to fray, and I know that it has been tough on a lot of people. But I want to be clear that while those stories can be found, that is not what we are seeing. 99.9 percent of Angelenos are doing the right thing. Even across this nation, I believe people want to save lives. That this is not about politics or partisanship, this is about people and this is about perseverance. Keep showing you courage.

  • Lancia Appia Berlina 3Rd Series 1962
Lancia Appia Berlina 3rd series 1962 Galerie +32 (0)53 63 12 33 www.marreyt.com [email protected] Let's jump back in time, to the fifties and sixties: many Italian families Marque Lancia can finally fulfill their dream of owning a car. While the Fiat 1100 successfully covers the basic needs, and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Modèle Appia Berlina 3rd series appeals to those with a "sporting heart", the Lancia Appia is without a doubt the thinking man's choice. Launched in 1953, the Lancia Appia Année de construction 1962 combines the advanced technology that Lancia has accumulated over the years, with the refined styling of its big sister, the Lancia Volant Gauche (LHD) Aurelia. It combines the space of a family car with the road-handling of a compact car. It combines high-end design and manufacturing with a reasonable budget and maintenance costs. A very accomplished car, the Appia is a true engineering tour de force. With the third series, launched in 1959, comes a "facelift": the traditional Lancia grille is replaced with a horizontal grille in the style of the Lancia Flaminia. The car's narrow angle V4 engine is also uprated to 48hp, bringing the top speed to 132 km/h. This particular 3rd series Appia Berlina has been hand-picked by our Italian friend and Lancia Appia connoisseur Matteo. Active for many years in the Lancia Appia club, he can recognize a valuable Appia from a mile away. He has chosen this particular car for its healthy and very original condition. Just looking at the perfect closing lines of the doors on this pillarless saloon, one immediately understands that the bodywork is in excellent condition.

OF PI KAPPA ALPHA VOLUME 82 NUMBER 1 SEPTEMBER 1971 DRUG ABUSE AND FR4TERNITY RESPONSIBILITY 2 SHIELD & DJ4MOND September. 1971 EDITORIAL Stan Love I happen to have a strong conviction that, prevalent though the use of marijuana and other drugs may be on our campuses, there are a great many fine young men who do not have any need of it. It is absolutely vital that when these individuals arrive on a cam pus there is a fraternity to meet their needs-one which can match their own high standards. I hope our fraternity will be such a group. The permissive fraternity which ignores drug abuse in the house will probably let down the barriers in every other way. Can this type of organization possibly be a strong force for good on the campus? What kind of leadership can come from students who . are psychologically dependent on a narcotic? I personally feel that any chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha which con dones the use of drugs and whose officials are neither able nor in clined to set and maintain the highest standards will be unable to provide the strong leadership needed in these difficult times, and is selling out the national fraternity and its own members. Some have suggested that drug usage is a dead issue and should not be a topic for this publication to consider. It might be in some places where it is accepted or the group has rejected its usage. However, it is difficult to consider it as a dead issue when more than a dozen articles appear in the daily paper each week on drug matters.
