Acnur–Unicef – s/f Los datos cualitativos y cuantitativos para este estudio fueron recolectados antes del inicio de la pandemia de COVID-19 en la región. Las medidas de salud pública adoptadas por los gobiernos, en el marco de la pandemia, han tenido un impacto importante en la dinámica de la movilidad humana a nivel mundial. Las estrictas limitaciones de movilidad y el cierre de fronteras han afectado las opciones de protección de las personas en riesgo, particularmente en los países del norte de Centroamérica: El Salvador, Guatemala y Honduras. Así mismo, las múltiples formas de violencia y persecución que han provocado el desplazamiento forzado en esta región durante años continúan y, en algunos casos, se han agravado durante el confinamiento. América Latina y el Caribe enfrenta un fenómeno migratorio sin precedentes. De los casi 15 millones de migrantes en la región más de la mitad han dejado sus países en los últimos 5 años, debido a situaciones de inestabilidad política, social y económica, desastres naturales y el COVID-19. Desde el Laboratorio de Innovación (BID Lab) y la Unidad de Migración del BID creemos que este desafío demanda una participación más activa y novedosa del sector privado y la sociedad civil, que permita crear nuevas oportunidades al unir el crecimiento económico y social que genera la migración con la capacidad de innovación, creatividad y emprendimiento que caracteriza a estos sectores y a los migrantes. Este enfoque, que llamamos MIGnnovación, busca apoyar los esfuerzos del sector público, aprovechar el talento de las personas, las nuevas tecnologías y la construcción de alianzas para convertir esta realidad en una gran oportunidad de desarrollo inclusivo para nuestros países. Ver página de la publicación – Descargar publicación (PDF) LATINOAMÉRICA–ESPAÑA – ARTÍCULO Análisis discursivo sobre el sentido de comunidad de los latinoamericanos en Málaga Revista Migraciones Internacionales – Vol. 12: enero-diciembre, 2021 Por Mario Millán-Franco, Laura Domínguez de la Rosa, Luis Gómez-Jacinto, María Isabel Hombrados-Mendieta y Alba García-Cid El Colegio de la Frontera Norte – 15 de marzo de 2021 Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio cualitativo cuyo interés radica en conocer cómo los latinoamericanos residentes en Málaga construyen su sentido de comunidad. Para la recogida de información se realizaron 23 entrevistas en profundidad a personas latinoamericanas. A través de un análisis minucioso de las mismas, se identificaron tres Repertorios Interpretativos: los límites difusos del sentido de comunidad, las comunidades como eje vertebrador del sentido de comunidad y el lenguaje del amor como elemento facilitador del sentido de comunidad. Se pone de relieve la importancia de las organizaciones formales e informales para el desarrollo del sentido de comunidad local. El sentido de comunidad, propio del lugar de residencia, es fruto de un proceso mental de solapamiento de los sentidos de comunidad hacia las comunidades, donde el lenguaje del amor es protagonista. Una limitación del estudio presentado, y también potencialidad, es que el sentido de comunidad es la manifestación subjetiva de la comunidad, por lo que su construcción social está influenciada por las vivencias de cada persona. El narcotráfico genera diversos posicionamientos éticos que abarcan su aceptación, rechazo o ambivalencia. La construcción de sus discursos es influida por discursos producidos desde el gobierno y los medios de entretenimiento, así como por el grado de cercanía con el narcotráfico en la vida cotidiana. Se realizaron grupos de discusión y se llevó a cabo un análisis crítico del discurso. Los discursos acerca del narcotráfico tienen implicaciones para la incorporación de los jóvenes en esta actividad, así como su normalización en los contextos locales. Se recomienda indagar en los procesos personales que promueven el rechazo del narcotráfico a nivel individual, a pesar de la aceptación pragmática que normaliza la actividad en la comunidad. The former president, his acolytes, and both extremist and mainstream media have characterized this situation as a “border crisis,” a self-inflicted wound by the Biden administration, and even a failure of US asylum policy. It is none of these things. Rather, it is a response to compounding pressures, most prominently the previous administration’s evisceration of US asylum and anti-trafficking policies and procedures, and the failure to address the conditions that are displacing residents of the Northern Triangle states of Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras), as well as Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and other countries. I would like to begin by congratulating all Year 12 students for their efforts during Assessment Week, as well as my Year 13 peers who are also sitting assessments at the moment. It is definitely a difficult time for us all, but the hard work will be worth it in the end. As the most powerful directly-elected politician in the UK, it is important the Mayor is held publicly and democratically accountable. The Assembly examines the decisions and actions of the Mayor to ensure promises to Londoners are delivered and the money he spends, collected from Londoners, is wisely spent. The 25 London Assembly Members are elected every four years at the same time as the Mayor of London. The Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account by publicly examining policies and programmes. In addition, the Assembly questions the Mayor ten times a year at Mayor’s Question Time. Assembly meetings are open to the public, so Londoners can stay informed about the activities of the Mayor and the Assembly can publicly review their performance. As well as examining the Mayor’s actions and decisions, Assembly Members act as champions for Londoners by investigating issues that are important to the capital. The Assembly can advance or press for changes to mayoral or national policy. 2 The Police and Crime Committee The London Assembly Police and Crime Committee is a cross-party body.
