The construction of Brand or Product promotion that engages a popular personality using the reputation of the Brand, Product, or service is known as celebrity endorsement. That is, a celebrity endorsement is a promotional approach of a brand or product recommended by the famous person in the society to the customers or buyers. Here, the notable thing is that the celebrity endorses the brand or product powerfully evoking emotional feelings instead of usual appeal to the customers. In the fast movie world, the public likely to pay less attention to any advertisements in printed or visual form but optimistically get noticed when the advertisements are referred or recommended by their favorite celebrity. People in country like India, always grace about their stars from sports, politics, and particularly from the film industry. This article analyzes and evaluates various celebrity endorsements and emotional appeal, particularly the Tamil cinema actors.

It proceeds with a particular focus on the discursive field of Telugu cinema as well as religion and politics in the state of Andhra Pradesh from roughly the 1950s to the 2000s. Telugu cinema continued to produce mythological and devotional films based mostly on Hindu myths and legends many decades after they ceased to be major genres in Hindi and many other Indian languages. This was initially seen simply as an example of the insufficiently modernized and secularized nature of the South Indian public, and of the enduring nature of Indian religiosity. However, these films acquired an even greater notoriety later. In 1982, N.T. Rama Rao, a film star who starred in the roles of Hindu gods like Rama and Krishna in many mythologicals set up a political party, contested and won elections, and became the Chief Minister of the state, all in the space of a year. For many political and social commentators this whirlwind success could only be explained by the power of his cinematic image as god and hero! The films thus came to be seen as major contributing factors in the unusual and undesirable alliance between cinema, religion and politics.

ABSTRACT This is a study on the puzzling case of neoliberal pro-market states enacting policies that attempt to curb the competitive and profitable businesses of urban street vendors. Ac- cordingly this project asks a simple question: if neoliberal governance of the economy prescribes a positive disposition towards the market system driven by selfish pecuniary gain, then why are informal street vendors regularly evicted and harassed by neoliberal states in cities around the world? To answer this, I analyze the literature on neoliberalism and the informal economy, and provide new theoretical insight into the internal contra- diction of neoliberal principles in the context of the informal economy of selling. I argue that the conflict with informal street vendors and the states is a manifestation of this con- tradiction. Through my field research on informal street vendors (or hawkers) of Kolkata I demonstrate this contradiction by analyzing the political economy of street vending. Specifically I study the social movement of hawkers and show how the right to sell in the city of Kolkata is negotiated and configured in the neoliberal era.
