NEW PRODUCTS, EICMA 2016

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY - ON TWO AND SOON FOUR WHEELS. Askoll attends Eicma for the first time, with its present products and future innovations. Pavilion 6 - Stand C30

Askoll, the first Made in manufacturer and distributor of electric vehicles, presents its product range at Eicma, with a glimpse of the future. The company is exhibiting its range of electric-assist bikes and electric scooters that granted the Vicenza company a leading position in sustainable mobility, as well as other areas, over the last two years. The Italian brand will be showcasing a groundbreaking range of new products: a first view of three new electric-assist bicycles, an electric scooter, and the first Askoll electric city car.

SCOOTER eS3

The new eS3 rounds out Askoll's existing product range: eS3 is the ideal solution not just for the city, but also for longer trips: with its 3.3 kW motor it can reach speeds up to 70 km/h, with a range of up to 80 km.

Its high efficiency Askoll brushless motor is powered by two lithium ion battery packs with a capacity of 27Ah 54V, which can be recharged from any household power socket. The cost of a full charge (0 to 100%) is around 0.45 euro (average cost of an overnight charging cycle), but the battery can be recharged at any time: there's no need to fully discharge it before recharging, since it has no partial charge memory. In terms of normal use, with users generally recharging from 20% to 90% - a level that guarantees the longest battery life – it takes just 5.5 hours to recharge the pack.

The braking system with CBS and a strong chassis lend the scooter outstanding safety. The suspension - telescopic hydraulic on the front and single-shock on the rear - and the large tyres (80/80 16 front and 90/80 16 rear) enable the scooter to handle any road conditions with ease. The large wheels have dual compound tyres (with soft sidewalls and rigid tread) for excellent grip around corners and low rolling friction on straight runs.

The scooter weighs just 87 kg: lightweight and manoeuvrable, it is ideal even for beginners. Like its predecessors, eS3 has three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Power. Its minimalist, ergonomic design ensures excellent comfort. It has LED lights on front and rear, and a handy storage compartment at the front with a 12V power socket as standard supply.

Askoll will also be showcasing a sports version of the eS3 at Eicma, with an off-road mood.
