New Products, Eicma 2016 NEW PRODUCTS, EICMA 2016 SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY - ON TWO AND SOON FOUR WHEELS. Askoll attends Eicma for the first time, with its present products and future innovations. Pavilion 6 - Stand C30 Askoll, the first Made in Italy manufacturer and distributor of electric vehicles, presents its product range at Eicma, with a glimpse of the future. The company is exhibiting its range of electric-assist bikes and electric scooters that granted the Vicenza company a leading position in sustainable mobility, as well as other areas, over the last two years. The Italian brand will be showcasing a groundbreaking range of new products: a first view of three new electric-assist bicycles, an electric scooter, and the first Askoll electric city car. SCOOTER eS3 The new eS3 rounds out Askoll's existing product range: eS3 is the ideal solution not just for the city, but also for longer trips: with its 3.3 kW motor it can reach speeds up to 70 km/h, with a range of up to 80 km. Its high efficiency Askoll brushless motor is powered by two lithium ion battery packs with a capacity of 27Ah 54V, which can be recharged from any household power socket. The cost of a full charge (0 to 100%) is around 0.45 euro (average cost of an overnight charging cycle), but the battery can be recharged at any time: there's no need to fully discharge it before recharging, since it has no partial charge memory. In terms of normal use, with users generally recharging from 20% to 90% - a level that guarantees the longest battery life – it takes just 5.5 hours to recharge the pack. The braking system with CBS and a strong chassis lend the scooter outstanding safety. The suspension - telescopic hydraulic on the front and single-shock on the rear - and the large tyres (80/80 16 front and 90/80 16 rear) enable the scooter to handle any road conditions with ease. The large wheels have dual compound tyres (with soft sidewalls and rigid tread) for excellent grip around corners and low rolling friction on straight runs. The scooter weighs just 87 kg: lightweight and manoeuvrable, it is ideal even for beginners. Like its predecessors, eS3 has three driving modes: Eco, Normal and Power. Its minimalist, ergonomic design ensures excellent comfort. It has LED lights on front and rear, and a handy storage compartment at the front with a 12V power socket as standard supply. Askoll will also be showcasing a sports version of the eS3 at Eicma, with an off-road mood. BICYCLES Constant R&D - not just in performance and technology but also styling - and awareness of market trends have driven the development of Askoll's new pedal-assist bicycles, with their cutting edge technology and Made in Italy design and quality. eB3 The new eB3 is designed for both city riding and cycle tourism. Its front fork and saddle suspension, adjustable handlebar and 28" wheels make it a comfortable, high-performance ride even on challenging surfaces like cobblestones. The eB3 has led lights, digital on-board computer, 5-speed hub gears with grip shifter and four different levels of pedal assist + one assisted uphill start mode. The frame is ergonomically designed for good posture, and the brake cables are routed inside the frame for a completely clean look. The electric motor, which is mounted in the front hub, is powered by a latest generation lithium ion battery with Panasonic components, with a range of up to 100 km with a single charge, motor assisted up to 25 km/h. The 300 Wh lithium-ion battery, mounted at the front, weighs just 2.6 kg, is easy to remove and can be charged from 0% to 100% in five hours from any electric power socket, at a negligible cost of 0.05€. If you're in a hurry, the battery can also be charged for a shorter time, since it has no partial charge memory. eBF - FOLDING ELECTRIC BICYCLES eBF is a versatile, compact folding electric-assist bicycle, ideal for quick trips in the big city, easy to fold with its central joint and handy to carry around, like a roller suitcase. It has 20’’ wheels, a top speed of 22 km/h and a range of 60 km. The brushless motor is mounted in the rear wheel, and its battery features Panasonic lithium-ion cells. It charges from 0% to 100% in five hours from any power socket, at a cost of just 0.05€. Its on-board computer always displays speed and range, allowing the user to set the level of assist, with 4 modes and an assisted uphill start mode. eBKid - CHILDREN'S ELECTRIC BICYCLE The Askoll range of electric vehicles is rounded out by the first pedal assist bicycle for children aged 9 to 12 years. The aim of this product is to make sustainable mobility available to the whole family. The new and one-of-a-kind eBKid allows even small children to go for long rides, whether on vacation or in the city. It's ideal for the commute to school - whether it is close to or far from home - with its quick, responsive handling, and is perfectly at home riding in city traffic, into the country and on holiday trips. EbKid is available with two frames to meet different needs. It has 20’’ wheels, a top assisted speed of 20 km/h and a range of 60 km. This bike has a Panasonic lithium-ion battery, charging from 0% to 100% in five hours from any power socket, at a cost of just 0.05€. It can also be partially recharged without reducing its capacity. The bike is particularly user-friendly with its on-board computer, four assist modes and uphill start mode, which make even long, challenging rides fun for young riders About Askoll: Askoll is an Italian group with headquarters in Dueville (VI), a leader in the manufacture of high-efficiency electric motors for household appliances, aquariums and ponds. • ASKOLL Eb1 and Es1
ASKOLL eB1 and eS1 Italian-made electric vehicles for sustainable urban mobility 50% of everyday trips in urban areas are under 5 km and in many cases, we waste more time sitting in traffic or hunting for a parking space we do actually travelling, and that's without even considering the exorbitant amounts spent on maintenance, refuelling and parking. For all these reasons, electric vehicles are today a logical choice for better quality of life in towns and cities. The philosophy that inspired the design of Askoll electric products – the eB1 pedal-assisted bicycle and the eS1 electric scooter – is based on 4 guiding factors: eB1: THE PEDAL-ASSISTED BICYCLE The Askoll eB1 is an Italian-made bicycle which, thanks to its four different pedal assistances modes and automatic transmission, allows you to get around in a sustainable way, tackling hills and long journeys effortlessly. The design, the battery, the control unit and the whole drive unit are all designed and produced at the Askoll plant in Vicenza. The eB1 model features meticulous attention to detail: from topstitching on the saddle and handlebar grips, to the automatic transmission integrated in the hub, plus ergonomically designed brake levers that conceal the braking system cables and preserve the vehicle's clean lines. In addition, the onboard computer mounted on the handlebar is simple and intuitive, keeping you updated on the battery charge and remaining running time. The aluminium frame is shaped to facilitate correct posture and mounting and dismounting, while the ergonomic saddle guarantees optimum comfort while pedalling. Askoll two-wheeled vehicles are fitted with next-generation lithium-ion batteries with Panasonic components, which allow you to travel up to 80 km with a single charging cycle, at a speed of 25 km/h.
