Q / A
1. 48-port POE gigabit switches for Mansueto (current standard Cisco Catalyst 3850/2960) …is there a preference on which, or just go with least expensive option? If 2960, would you like us to include the stacking cables? a. The 3850 is used as the CORE switch and the 2960 are used for distribution. Yes, we prefer stacking cables.
2. For the POE switches, I didn’t see a mention of SFP modules …do you want us to include those in our quote? a. Yes, please include the SFP modules.
3. Category 2 services …do you want our bid to include professional services for configuration/implementation? a. Yes.
4. Also, Sentinel’s managed/monitoring services, is this something you would like us to include in our response? a. Yes, in terms of erate eligible maintenance for the Noble Network networking equipment.
5. Is it the intent of Noble Network to apply for (submit) a Build Entity Applicant Reimbursement (BEAR) form? a. Yes, we typically pay our erate invoice at 100% and request a refund.
6. In a nutshell, then, it is generally acceptable for POs and orders to be placed prior to April 1, but if shipments arrive at the customer’s location (or if other billable work is done on the customer premise) before April 1, that work (or equipment) will not qualify for reimbursement due to being delivered prior to the start of the funding year.” (FFL) a. 8. Do you have a need for an Auto-Attendant? If yes, how many? a. 18
9. Do you require integration with paging? If yes, how many ports and locations? a. All sites need to have the ability to page all phones during emergencies.
10. Do you have a specific preference for types of users; Basic, Essential, Enterprise or UC? a. Enterprise
11. Quantity and type of devices (smartphones, basic phones, mi-fi) a. The 606 lines will be cellular lines
12. Quantity of minutes needed a. 400 Minutes
13. Desired amount of data a. Unlimited
14. Equipment preferences a. Noble currently support Iphones, Androids and Blackberry
15. Feature needs such as text a. Text Messaging
16. Any additional solutions to be shown as options such as EPTT (Enhances Push to Talk), MDM, etc. a. No thank you.
