However it is known they had a son John who informed the LDS Church in Utah he was born on June 16th 1823 in Haslingden Grane, the son of James and Elizabeth nee Alstead. Possibly he was a second John after the first died though there is no record of this. The parents names may be recorded incorrectly. He and possible siblings may have had nonconformist (Wesleyan) baptisms whose records are lost or as yet not published on-line.
