Description The WCS38DLP is a double acting tool primarily intended for use on steel wire rope, having a maximum tensile strength of 1770N/mm and will cut ropes up to 38mm diameter. It may be used on alternative materials, such as electrical power or communication cables, again up to a maximum of 38mm diameter. 1. SAFETY Before operation, read and understand this operations manual. Whilst the tool is intended for remote or local operation sub-sea, there is no reason why it should not be used above surface. Ensure that the tool, hoses and pump are in good condition and properly connected. Ensure that suitable pressure regulation equipment is used and that the unit is not subjected to pressures higher than those stated in section 3 In all cases, where an operator is present, the safety aspects must be reviewed before the cutting operation is commenced. No attempt should be made to cut wire ropes or other material that is under tension. Ensure that the operator is shielded from the cutting blade during the cutting operation. When cutting near the very end of hose or rope, individual cut wires can be expelled from the tool, please ensure that the operator is shielded from these. -

Haworth 2 From the Chair As we are aware, the new Northern franchise will commence in early 2016, and the consultation process has begun.The Government has decided to keep the two separate franchises with Trans Pennine Express offering the express services in the region. They are also looking to transfer into the Northern franchise some services operated by another franchise and these include the Oxenhlme – Windermere service. Consultations such as these can be seen as either a challenge or a threat and in our response RVR will use this opportunity to seek for enhancement of services, rolling stock, connectivity and station facilities. Great War Battlefields Study Tour Briefing Notes & Activity Sheets Students Name briefing notes one Introduction The First World War or Great War was a truly terrible conflict. Ignored for many years by schools, the advent of the National Curriculum and the GCSE system reignited interest in the period. Now, thousands of pupils across the United Kingdom study the 1914-18 era and many pupils visit the battlefield sites in Belgium and France. Redevelopment and urban spread are slowly covering up these historic sites. The Mons battlefields disappeared many years ago, very little remains on the Ypres Salient and now even the Somme sites are under the threat of redevelopment. In 25 years time it is difficult to predict how much of what you see over the next few days will remain. The consequences of the Great War are still being felt today, in particular in such trouble spots as the Middle East, Northern Ireland and Bosnia.Many commentators in 1919 believed that the so-called war to end all wars was nothing of the sort and would inevitably lead to another conflict. So it did, in 1939. You will see the impact the war had on a local and personal level. Communities such as Grimsby, Hull, Accrington, Barnsley and Bradford felt the impact of war particularly sharply as their Pals or Chums Battalions were cut to pieces in minutes during the Battle of the Somme. We will be focusing on the impact on an even smaller community, our school. We will do this not so as to glorify war or the part oldmillhillians played in it but so as to use these men’s experiences to connect with events on the Western Front. -

PRIMARY CARE COMMITTEE 19 September 2016 New model of care consultation report 1. Introduction 1.1. A comprehensive twelve week consultation was undertaken between April and July 2016 on a proposed new model of primary care in East Lancashire. 1.2. The consultation achieved extensive publicity and was widely promoted in the area. 1.3. An online survey was supported with a distribution of 13,000 paper questionnaires and pre-paid envelopes to the 58 GP practices and patient and public interest groups. 1.4. The promotion of the survey was backed up with press and radio coverage, advertising, and the extensive use of social media. 1.5. In addition, a programme of presentations, meetings and face to face engagement was undertaken to enable patients, members of the public and other stakeholders to consider the proposals and respond to the consultation. 1.6. We engaged with patients at 16 drop-in face to face meetings. We were privileged to be able to present our proposals and hear views at over 30 different meetings. We engaged in online discussions on Facebook and Twitter, encouraging comment whilst hopefully maintaining a neutral yet positive stance. 1.7. We were delighted to receive 2,129 responses to the consultation, and within these responses, many detailed comments which we have given consideration to. 1.8. We are truly grateful for the level of engagement and the responses people have given. This report sets out our reflections regarding the feedback and proposes how we will consider further the responses moving forward. 2. Approach 2.1. Prior to more formal engagement with patients and the public, we undertook a period of pre-consultation engagement in March 2016, in Hyndburn, and we briefed our representative Patient Participation Group (PPG) network chairs at a meeting of the Patient Partners Board. -

’S HISTORICAL COMM HIRE UNI AS TY NC STA LA TI ST ON EA BURNLEY BARRACKS S BURNLEY BARRACKS STATION Burnley Westgate station was built and opened by the East Lancashire Railway Company on the 18th September 1848. It opened as the terminus for the East Lancashire Railway Companies trains from Accrington. The engineers in charge of building the line from Accrington to Burnley and onwards to Colne were Mr J.S. Perring and Mr J.A. Donaldson. The following year with the imposing stone Burnley viaduct completed the Colne extension was opened on 1st February 1849. Burnley Westgate closed on this date and the larger Burnley Barracks Station - photo courtesy LYRS Burnley Bank Top station came into use. The area around the former Burnley Westgate station however developed quickly with housing, mills and a cavalry barracks. The demand for the station to re open was quickly acted on by the railway company and the station re opened in September 1851 with a new name, Burnley Barracks, refl ecting the close proximity of the cavalry barracks. The 1881 census fi gures show that seventy six soldiers were based at the barracks and only three of them were from Burnley so soldiers would travel from far and wide to the barracks using the station. The station was listed Burnley Barracks Station - photo courtesy LYRS as dealing with passenger trains only, goods were dealt with at Rose Grove or Burnley Bank Top the adjacent stations. The station is close to the Leeds Liverpool canal which can be used to access the new Padiham Greenway.
