F R E E T O U R S B Y F O O T GRAND OLE OPRY VS THE RYMAN A point of confusion is often whether you should visit the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium...

GRAND OLE OPRY - This is the radio show, recorded live where you can be a part of the audience. The Grand Ole Opry is the name of the show.

GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE - This is the current home of the Grand Ole Opry. It has bee n where the show is recorded since the 1970s. You can watch the Opry show here most of the year and even take backstage tours. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO ON THE OPRY HOUSE TOURS.

RYMAN AUDITORIUM - This was the home of the Grand Ole Opry from the 1940-1970s before it moved. While the show didn't actually start here, its considered the original home of the Opry and the show returns back every winter. At other times of year it is a venue - with more than just country and . You can take self guided tours of the historic former church turned auditorium and backstage tours. F R E E T O U R S B Y F O O T BEST TIME TO VISIT WEATHER & CROWDS

The peak season for Nashville is April to October, with warmer weather bringing the crowds. Except heat and humidity in the peak of summer, though.

Winter is a great time to visit, especially around the holidays. Its off season for the crowds but you'll see a lot of excellent holiday decorations and a chance to see the Grand Ole Opry at its historic home, the Ryman.

But the best time to visit Nashville is whenever there is a concert that you want to see!
