The site lies just down river from Fremantle port and has the usual issues present on most river dives, fine silty mud that is easily stirred up by the unwary and sometimes poor visibility. Lots of divers go crabbing and prawning, but there is plenty of other species to see, especially at night. These include Nudibranchs, Sea Anemones, Bream, Yellow Tailed Grunter, Cobbler, Blowfish, Tarwhine, Blennies, Seahorses and Porcupine Fish. This is a very popular spot for night diving. Currents can be strong away from the shore especially in the channel. The water was calm and flat, with the temperature a DIVE SECTION REPORT Sean Murray pleasant 22 degrees. The Department of Transport has approved a no boating area in front of the Club.

The other department wants us to put a mural on the north side of the Club on the south wall side of the ramp, which I have had approval from the committee to get done after we see the art work.

I need to dive the trail and check the concrete plinths to see that there is no movement and take some photos, so we might need to do a night dive or a day dive if conditions are good, we would need clear water and no swell.

Although the last two times I have dived, it had been very dirty with big swell, so I was unable to take photo in those conditions.

Many thanks to Mick Chessells for help with the paper work, Dean Williams and Lorrie for the boat and the heavy lifting. All going well we could have the trail up and going by the end of the year. But we are relying on the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the Department of Transport.
