Gears of War 5 Pc Won't Download Gears of War 4 Won't Download!!! I Bought Gears of War 4 Standard Edition for My PC a Few Days Ago gears of war 5 pc won't download Gears of War 4 won't download!!! I bought Gears of War 4 Standard Edition for my PC a few days ago. I initiated the download, and all be it taking close to 3 days to download it got to 71.85GB / 73.33GB and then came up with a message saying "Gears of War 4 could not be installed. We will try again later". So I thought I would restart my PC and see if that helped. However when I opened up the download page again it had wiped my previous download, so when I press install it starts the download again. So I waited, again, for the download to progress. It reached again to nearly 70GB and no message this time, it just froze on the download. This is beyond frustrating. I've read that quite a lot of people have had an issue whilst downloading this game. I've updated Windows 10 and the App Store. My download speed is averaging at around 10Mbs/12Mbs which isn't too bad. I've tried "wsreset.exe" and it seemed to work whilst it downloaded another GB maybe but then stopped again. I also tried using tethering from my Mobile phone which is super fast at 40Mbs but I can't sustain a 73GB download with a 12GB Hotspot limit. Does anyone have any solutions/fixes to this apparent problem? or can guide me on something I'm maybe doing wrong with the download? Gears 5 won't install to hard drive (D) [FIXED] After completing Gears 5 on Xbox One, I wanted to give it a try on PC. I am subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so the download is available for me. When I try to download via the Microsoft Store, it only lets me select disk C (my SSD) when I'm asked to "select compatible drive with X GB". When I try to download via the Xbox Beta app, it lists both C and D, but D is greyed out and has a warning icon and the menu tells me to select a drive with NTFS format. What's funny is that both my SSD (C) and HDD (D) are formatted to NTFS, so this doesn't make sense. I have rebooted several times, checked for updates, cleared the Store cache with wsreset.exe as admin, but nothing has changed. I have used my Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play and install games like Crackdown 3, ReCore and Ori on disk D and I even went as far as to initiate an installation for Forza Horizon 4 just to confirm that this specifically impacts Gears 5. EDIT: Actually, I found the same error for Blair Witch and Clustertruck, so it's not only GoW5 after all. Any help is appreciated, thanks. Windows 10 Home ver. 1903. Intel Core i7 6700HQ.     why can't i download gears 5 on pc Can't install Gears 5 on PC. When I go to the windows store to pre-download Gears 5 (I have ultimate game pass) I get like a proihibited or not allowed icon when I place the mouse over the install button. Just to try I managed to sucessfully download it on Xbox, so I do have access to it in theory. If I go to "manage" on PC it says "this app does not work on this device". I'm running a 8700k and a GTX1080 so it's safe to assume specs are not the issue here. I also tried to install through the website using the "install on my devices" but not devices are shown in the list. Not even my xbox. And yes if I go to manage devices they all show up. Gears 5.
