Our aim is to work towards delivering events that have zero environmental impact and achieve this with minimal offsetting. In our supply chain we incentivise local suppliers using renewable, sustainable products with a low environmental impact and minimising haulage distances.

We’ll design emissions out, implementing low consumption design, incorporating sustainable and renewable power sources and applying technology to monitor use and consumption. Consumables are ethically produced and 100% recyclable or compostable. We commit to fully traceable waste recycling and reprocessing.

Customers, staff and artists would be incentivised to make use of public transport, bikes and validated car sharing. We’d recruit as many staff from within the local area as possible, contributing to the local economy and minimising travel. Our longer- term plan allows the development of strong hyper- local relationships with the environmental and economic benefits these bring.

We will respect the ecology of Crystal Palace Park and endeavour to work with local organisations on ecological initiatives. Consultation & Licensing

Prior to making a licence application South Facing team will be undertaking consultation with local residents, business and other interest groups. Consultation will continue through the licensing application process.

The consultation will set out South Facing’s proposals for how the series of events will be run and give an indication of the type of programme of events that will take place each year. There will be opportunities to meet and discuss the proposals in advance of the licence application being submitted in the next few weeks.

Consultation will include our proposals for making the series environmentally sustainable, how the events will be delivered safely and minimising the impact of the series on the local community including transport, parking, litter and noise.
