NINE RENDEZVOUS IN EUROPE From Catalonia to Lombardy

The 2019 calendar comprises nine European rendezvous ranging from Catalonia to Lombardy by way of the Tour de la France (in five legs) as well as the Belgian Ardennes, Burgundy, Provence and Hungary.

The calendar of festivities will consist of halo events like the 28th staging of the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo and the 5th Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille. And, of course, there are the usual classic venues that host the series by Peter Auto comprising Classic Endurance Racing 1 & 2, Sixties' Endurance, The Greatest’s Trophy, the Heritage Touring Cup, Group C Racing, 2.0L Cup, and Endurance Racing Legends that will now appear at the majority of meetings.

THE HALO EVENTS

- Tour Auto Optic 2ooo (29th April – 4th May): the 28th staging of this event that has helped establish Peter Auto’s reputation will be run over yet another new route on the most beautiful roads in France that was unveiled in December. As is the case every year a theme dealing with the motor car will be highlighted. In 2019 the subject is vanished English makes. - Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille (30th June): the event that is the brainchild of Peter Auto is now organised in the early summer every two years alternating with Le Mans Classic. It is among the three most prestigious rendezvous of its kind on the international scene. With its Concours d’Elégance, Concours d’Etat, Concours des Clubs and Art de Vivre à la Française on an elegant Sunday in the country in the Château de Chantilly domain, the 5th staging of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille promises to be even more beautiful than ever!

THE CLASSICS

- Spa-Classic (17-19 May): the Belgian event created in 2011 on the drivers’ favourite circuit is now among the prime European rendezvous on the historic racing scene. - Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or (7-9 June): in 2014 Peter Auto took back the organisation of this major event in the world of historic race meetings and it has now recaptured its former glory. It has become a blue-riband rendezvous thanks in great part to its much appreciated circuit that has been totally revamped. - The Dix Mille Tours (18 -20 October): the Provençal event will celebrate its 10th staging and will bring down the curtain on the circuit racing season in a blaze of glory!

THE COMEBACKS

- Espίritu de Montjuïc 2018 (5-7 April): this rendezvous on Catalonian soil was held for the first time in 2018 and was a great success with both competitors and spectators. It will mark the beginning of the 2019 season of the series by Peter Auto. - Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July): in 2017 Peter Auto organised the first Hungaroring-Classic thus confirming its vocation: namely, to give its entrants the opportunity to race on new circuits on a regular basis. In July 2019, the series by Peter Auto will be back at the Hungarian track only a few kilometres from Budapest. - Monza-Historic (20-22 September): the series by Peter Auto already visited the Monza National Autodromo, the temple of speed and tifosi, in 2015 and 2017 and this year it has returned to the calendar. The tradition, which requires the scheduling of a rendezvous in home to many legendary circuits and and some of the most beautiful and prestigious sports cars in the world, will again be respected. - The Rallye des Légendes Richard Mille (29th October-2nd November): Peter Auto’s latest ambition is to see the most beautiful wonders produced by the world’s motor car industry roaring along French roads again in an exceptional rally, thus reinforcing its role in celebrating the “art de vivre à la Française” with the backing of its faithful partner, Richard Mille. The 2018 event was a big success and the next one promises some big surprises in exceptional settings.

5 - 7 APRIL RENDEZVOUS IN

The Peter Auto season will begin in Spain for the fourth year running. After Jarama, the Montmelo circuit to the north of Barcelona has been chosen to host the grids by Peter Auto for the second year on the bounce. The name of the event is a reference to the former Barcelona city circuit on the Montjuïc Mountain where the Spanish F1 Grand Prix was held from 1969 to 1975 in alternation with Jarama. Because of German driver Rolf Stommelen’s tragic accident in the 1975 race, which caused five deaths among the spectators, the F1 ruling body decided never to allow another grand prix to be held at Montjuïc. Thus, the Spanish round of the F1 World Championship took place at Jarama until 1981 followed by Jerez up till 1990. The Montmelo circuit was built in 1991 to be used during the 1992 summer Olympics that were being hosted by Barcelona. The start and finish of the cycling race by teams took place on its long main straight. Above all, Montmélo has been the theatre of 28 Spanish Grands Prix since 1991. The circuit has also become the main F1 test venue because of its variety of straights and corners and its mild winter weather so all the drivers know it like the back of their hand! Since the start of the 1990s all the F1 world champions have won on this circuit (Nigel Mansell, , Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher, , Mika Häkkinen, Kimi Räikkönen, , Jenson Button, Sebastian Vettel, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, the last to date), which will host the 8 Peter Auto grids.

29 APRIL - 4 MAY TOUR AUTO OPTIC 2ooo PARIS - DEAUVILLE

The 28th staging of the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo will take place from 29th April to 4th May 2019 and will mark the 120th anniversary of this motor car race held for the first time in July 1899. The day after the traditional display under the glass of the Grand Palais in Paris, the entrants will set off to discover the most beautiful roads in France. Ahead of them lie around 2200 kilometres, five stopover towns, timed events on four circuits and 10 special stages before they reach the finish in Deauville.

A NEW ROUTE

In keeping with tradition, the 2019 Tour Auto Optic 2000 will begin on Monday 29th April with the cars on display in the Grand Palais in Paris. The next day (Tuesday 30th April) the 240 entrants will quit the French capital in the early hours of the morning to set out on the roads of France and do battle in timed events (Competition or Regularity) on 4 circuits (Dijon-Prenois, Magny-Cours, Charade, Le Mans) and 11 special stages on closed roads. Every year the Tour Auto Optic 2000 has a new route and in 2019 it will have stopovers in Dijon, Lyon, Vichy, Tours and Deauville where the entrants will arrive on Saturday evening. Full details of the route including the passage times in the different communes will be sent out on Tuesday 2nd April.

VANISHED ENGLISH MAKES HONOURED

After celebrating vanished Italian makes in 2018 English cars will be spotlighted in this year’s event. They were often the work of magicians in the art of engines and coachwork, who created machines that have marked history in their own way and led to the birth of iconic makes. Among the best known are AC, Austin, Austin Healey, BLMC, MG, Morris and Triumph. And among the less famous are Fairthorpe, Frazer- Nash, Healey, Jowett and Sunbeam-. At the time they all took part in the Tour de France Automobile. So it was quite logical that Peter Auto would invite the owners of these cars, some of which were produced in very small numbers, to come and drive in the traces of their past exploits!

MONDAY 29TH APRIL: THE TOUR AUTO OPTIC 2OOO IN THE GRAND PALAIS The Grand Palais (photo) is a unique monument in the heart of Paris and one of its jewels. It was inaugurated for the Universal Exhibition in 1900 and its lavish architecture of stone, metal and glass has won the hearts of millions of visitors. In 1901, it was the theatre of the first Paris Motor Show, which it continued to host until 1961. This exceptional building has also been used for a raft of other exhibitions highlighting “objets d’art,” fashion parades and collectors’ cars. More than 200 very rare vehicles with gleaming bodywork hiding finely-tuned engines will be on display to the public on Monday ready to roar off the next day along the roads of France on their way to the finish in Deauville five days and more 2 200 kilometres later!

 TUESDAY 30th APRIL: PARISDIJON (1 special stage + the Dijon-Prenois circuit)

As dawn begins to break the cars will leave the Grand Palais and head for the Château de Vaux-Le-Vicomte (photo) where the official start of the 2019 event will be given. Nicolas Fouquet, the then-prime minister of King Louis XIV, was the man behind the construction of this monument of the Renaissance finished in 1661. It is also known as the "Petit Versailles" as the Sun King was so impressed by the beauty of its architecture that he had Versailles built using Vaux-le-Vicomte as a model. The drivers will then set off for the first special stage followed by a lunch break at the Château de Vaux. The afternoon will be marked by the first track events on the Dijon-Prenois circuit. Afterwards, the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo field will go to Dijon for the finish of this leg of around 400 kilometres

 WEDNESDAY 1st MAY: DIJON LYON (2 special stages + the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit)

The day after the first leg that will serve as a warm-up, the drivers in the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo will leave Dijon en route for Lyon. Two special stages and races on the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit are on the day’s menu. The crews will also have lunch at this iconic circuit that hosted the French F1 Grand Prix from 1991 to 2008. Then they will get back on the road and finish this leg in Lyon built on the confluent of the Rhône and the Saône. The city located between the Massif central to the west and the massif alpin to the east occupies a strategic place in the north-south traffic circulation in Europe. It was the former capital of the Gauls in the Roman Empire and is the third-biggest city in France with over 500 000 inhabitants. It has a very valuable cultural and artistic heritage and enjoys a marvellous gastronomic reputation as well as being the home of many chefs who are famous worldwide.

7

 THURSDAY 2nd MAY: LYON VICHY (3 special stages)

A 400-kilometre challenge awaits the entrants on the third day. They will follow the directions in the roadbook to the three special stages as there is no circuit event on Thursday’s programme. The crews will enjoy lunch in the Château de Martinanches (photo) in the heart of the Livradois-Forez natural park. This family home nestling in the depths of a small valley and surrounded by moats was first built in the XIth century. Although it was heavily renovated in the XVth century and again in the XVIIIth, it has retained its authenticity as well as its romantic and mysterious aspects. In the late afternoon the field will head for Vichy, famous for its baths and its sources which date from antiquity. This town is much appreciated by the Tour Auto that stopped there on many occasions in the past.

 FRIDAY 3rd MAY: VICHYTOURS (2 special stages + the Charade circuit)

With around 530 kilometres to be covered the second-last day of the event is the longest leg of the week! The drivers’ day will kick off with races on the historic and very selective Charade circuit that hosted four French F1 Grands Prix between 1965 and 1972 as well as many other international races. Between two stages they will have lunch in the medieval Château de Chazeron (photo), which was originally a fortified Gallic town dating from the IVth century BCE. This oppidium underwent several evolutions over the centuries to become the remarkable site it is today. In the XVIIIth century a park was added that is now listed in the pre-inventory of remarkable gardens. The leg will end in Tours, the main city of the Centre-Val de Loire region, but above all a town of art and history with a remarkable patrimony whose centre is inscribed at UNESCO.

 SATURDAY 4th MAY: TOURSDEAUVILLE (2 special stages + Le Mans Bugatti circuit)

After leaving Tours the Tour Auto Optic 2ooo field will head for the Le Mans Bugatti circuit on which the ultimate battle of the event will take place! It will be followed by lunch under the dome of the corn market in Alençon. Then come the last two special stages on closed roads that will bring the entrants to the final destination, Deauville, which hosted the event for the first time in 2009. This emblematic Norman town and seaside resort enjoys an international reputation thanks in particular to its casino, its great hotels, classified villas, horse racing courses, marinas, golf courses, big congress hall, American Film Festival and its beach with its parasols and its famous planks (photo).

In 1988 the Finnish driver also hit the headlines by setting a new record in the Pikes Peak hill climb in a Peugeot 405 T16 GR, a feat immortalised in the film Climb Dance (Race to the clouds). When Vatanen hung up his helmet he became involved in politics and was elected a member of the European parliament in 1999 and 2004. He is no stranger to the event as he won it in 1986 in a Renault 5 Maxi Turbo, the last year in which the Tour de France Automobile was held! Thanks to its motor sport and prestige cars DNA, REBELLION Timepieces is a natural choice to become the official timekeeper of the 28th Tour Auto Optic 2ooo.

TWO TIMEPIECES IN LIMITED EDITIONS

To celebrate this partnership the avant-garde Swiss brand has designed two models as limited editions (50 timepieces each). The REBELLION timepieces teams have produced two new versions of the Wraith and Revolt timepieces in the Tout Auto colours.

Alexandre Pesci, REBELLION President: “We’re really delighted to accompany the 2019 staging of the iconic Tour Auto Optic 2ooo. With REBELLION Motors we’re heavily involved in the restoration and preservation of collector cars so it seemed obvious that such a rally should be timed by people who know the milieu inside out. REBELLION Timepieces is determined to apply all its knowhow in its role as official time keeper.

Patrick Peter, Tour Auto General Manager: “The Tour Auto Optic 2000 has a long tradition of partnerships with the most famous makers. 17 - 19 MAY AN UNFORGETTABLE CIRCUIT!

Spa-Classic, created in 2011, has gone from strength to strength and today it is among the major European events for historic cars. In 2018, the 8th Spa-Classic fulfilled all its promises beating its attendance record with more than 20 000 spectators. The renowned Spa-Francorchamps circuit follows the up-and-down contours of the Ardennes foothills and is considered by the drivers as one of the most beautiful in the world. The names of its corners go hand in hand with so many famous no- holds-barred battles and their history calls to mind a saga of glory and victories. The legendary unpredictable weather is part of a decor and an ambience unlike any other for an exceptional event, which has made an impact on the international scene, and has now come of age thanks to the experience accumulated. The sound of the cars as they plunge down into Eau Rouge and then roar up the Raidillon revives memories of heroes and machines of a bygone age. To pay homage to this temple of endurance, which hosts the famous Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours for Touring Cars, Peter Auto created the Heritage Touring Cup for the 2013 event. Since then it has attracted more and more entrants that showcase the history of this branch of motor sport. In 2019, the Heritage Touring Cup will again be one of the star attractions at Spa- Classic where it will be joined by seven other Peter Auto grids. The ultimate accolade is conferred on the event by the reunion of the historic clubs for makes whose numbers increase every year plus the different forms of entertainment and activities.

THE CRADLE OF TOURING CAR RACING The Heritage Touring Cup tops the bill for the seventh year running and is one of the weekend’s highlights. In the same way that Le Mans is the temple of endurance for prototypes and grand touring cars, Spa-Francorchamps has been the centre of touring car racing since its early days with the pinnacle being its famous 24-Hour event, the favourite playing field of the majority of manufacturers and some of the best-known drivers in the world. During this long period of touring car racing a number of manufacturers won with their flagship makes. BMW was one of the most faithful entrants. In more than three decades the Bavarian manufacturer raced a whole range of models from the T1 800 Ti in the 60s to the famous M3 in the 90s. The Munich make holds the record for the number of victories (21) in the Spa- Francorchamps 24 Hours. It had several rivals over its reign and was beaten by Alfa Romeo GTAs and GTVs, Mercedes-Benz 300 SEs, Ford Mustangs and the Capri RSs, Porsche 911s, RX-7s and Jaguar XJSs.

CLUBS Once again a large number of car clubs is expected. After around 1500 owners at the previous events, this year’s aim is to attract even more collector cars. They will have seven 15-20 minute runs during the weekend to enable them to enjoy, and take full advantage of, the fabulous Francorchamps track.

THE EXHIBITORS’ VILLAGE AND ENTERTAINMENT The Exhibitors’ Village will again be installed in the heart of the paddock near Eau Rouge confirming its increase in size in the previous events. It will provide artists, clothing manufacturers, bookshops and other boutiques with an environment in which to display their wares to a crowd of enthusiasts. To keep the families happy Spa-Classic will put on numerous forms of entertainment adapted to all ages such as apprenticeships and giving youngsters their first taste of driving, slot racing, etc. All this will take place in a festive ambiance with music provided by an itinerant orchestra.

7 - 9 JUNE THE OLDEST GRAND PRIX FOR HISTORIC CARS

The 55th Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or will take place between 7th and 9th June 2019. It is a benchmark on the international calendar of historic race meetings. This top-notch event has been held for half-a-century and its name is one of the best known by specialists and enthusiasts alike. Since 2014, the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or has been organised by its former promoter, Peter Auto, whose aim is to apply its knowhow acquired with blue-riband events that have created its renown like Le Mans Classic, the Tour Auto and Chantilly Arts & Elégance to the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or. The 2018 meeting confirmed the success of the new formula with an attendance figure of 15 000 spectators.

Some 300 cars are again expected to take to the track and retrace the history of motor sport from the 1950s to the 2000s. Nine grids will share the billing: Classic Endurance Racing 1 & 2, Heritage Touring Cup, Sixties’ Endurance, The Greatest’s Trophy, 2.0L Cup, as well as the grid of more modern cars, Endurance Racing Legends. Two guest grids have also been invited: the Jaguar Classic Challenge for pre-1966 Jaguars: XKs, Type-Cs, Type-Ds, Type-Es, Mk Is, Mk IIs, and the Formula Junior – FIA Lurani Trophy. The 2019 Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or will bring back memories as 40 years ago this year the Dijon-Prenois circuit was the theatre of Renault’s first victory in Formula 1 thanks to Jean-Pierre Jabouille at the wheel of the RS10, the first turbocharged F1 to win a grand prix in the history of F1. Filling the other two places on the podium were Gilles Villeneuve (Ferrari) and René Arnoux (Renault) who fought one of the most famous duels in F1 in the closing laps of the race.

The public can also visit the paddock free of charge and rub shoulders with the drivers and their cars. And as was the case in the previous events meet up with people like Patrick Tambay (114 F1 grands prix) and Gérard , two- time winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours and former team manager of Renault Sport in Formula 1 and Sport Prototypes after which he filled the same role in his own F1 team. Activities, entertainment, and stalls selling scale-model cars, books, accessories and motor sport memorabilia, will be the other centres of interest in the paddock whose aim is to help the spectators share the world of the historic car.

The makes’ clubs, other privileged participants in Peter Auto events, will be present in even larger numbers and will be able to take part in track sessions.

CHANTILLY ARTS & ELEGANCE RICHARD MILLE – 30TH JUNE

A NOT-TO-BE-MISSED MEETING OF ELEGANCE AND THE ART DE VIVRE!

Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille will now take place every second year in the early summer alternating with Le Mans Classic. The fifth staging will be held this coming 30th June.

In 2017, the last Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille was a unanimous success with the participants and the public underlined by a 20% increase in attendance compared to 2016 for a total of 16 300 spectators. This success was crowned by several prestigious accolades like the Historic Motoring Award of the Year given to the first Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille by Octane, the British benchmark magazine, which confirmed this by awarding the meeting the same prize the following year and it was nominated again in 2016. Since 2015, the event has benefitted from the honorary sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. And it was also nominated by the Peninsula Classics Committee for the Best of the Best Awards in 2016, 2017 and 2018 winning the prize in 2017. All these prizes have honoured the concept of this rendezvous that has revived the Concours d’Elégance of which France was the cradle in the 1920s; it also celebrates the Art de Vivre à la Française, this inestimable richness that our country can be justly proud of.

The elements that have put this event in the blue-riband category are still the same. Combining the Art de Vivre à la Française with the pleasure of receiving guests at a lavish garden party in the Le Nôtre gardens in the Chantilly Château, Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille is synonymous with a convivial family Sunday in the country and the not-to-be-missed elegant rendezvous in early summer.

SATURDAY, TWO EXCEPTIONAL RALLIES

Collectors Rally (Chantilly Arts & Elegance Tour)

The owners who are entered for the Concours d’etat the next day will take part in this tourist rally at the wheel of the most beautiful cars in the world. On the day’s programme is a journey of around 100 km through the luxuriant local forests and the neighbouring regional natural park packed with remarkable historic trees. It will also provide collectors with the opportunity to discover the many historic monuments in the region before meeting up for lunch in the Palais de Compiègne.

Supercars Rally

This rally, held for the first time in 2016, attracted around 30 limited-production modern sports cars noted for their mind-blowing performances. Among these rare Supercars and very rare Ultracars were Alfa Romeo 8Cs, Aston Martin DB7 Zagatos, BMW i8s, Bugatti EB110s and Veyrons, Ferrari Enzo, FF, F40, F50 and 288 GTOs, Ford GTs, Gumpert Apollos, Lamborghini Diablos and Gallardos, McLaren P1 GTRs, Mercedes-Benz SLR , Pagani Zondas, Porsche Carrera GTs and 918s. These exceptional machines were a big hit with the many spectators who lined the route as the cars made their way to the Mortefontaine private circuit where they were able to give free rein to their power. Thanks to their success with the public they occupied a special place the next day on the Le Nôtre lawns in the château’s domain so that the visitors could feast their eyes on this incredible line-up of prestige motor cars.

Official dinner

The Great Stables, an architectural masterpiece of the XVIIIth century built by the architect Jean Aubert for Louis- Henri de Bourbon, 7th Prince Condé, is the theatre of the official opening dinner of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille with a meal specially concocted by great starred chefs. It will be preceded by an Equestrian Show under the dome of the biggest stables in Europe.

SUNDAY: CONCOURS

THE CONCOURS D’ETAT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CARS IN THE WORLD AND BENTLEY HONOURED

The 5th staging of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille will again attract the most beautiful cars in the world and honour Bentley’s centenary at its famous and very selective Concours d’etat.

The greatest collectors in the world flocked to the first four Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille Concours d’etat. One hundred exceptional cars representing the most beautiful creations in the history of the automobile came to the Chantilly Château from all over Europe, the United States, South America and Asia. They were on display on Le Nôtre’s lawns creating a unique ephemeral museum and they displayed their charms with a single aim – to win the Best of Show.

In 2019, the fifth staging of the event will be the scene of a celebration of Bentley with three dedicated classes to create one of the great exhibitions devoted to the English make. Twelve other new classes (see list below) will be as many highlights that will mark the 2019 Concours d’etat. In each of the classes comprising between four and eight cars historic rarity, state of preservation and maintenance will be the basic criteria that will be meticulously scrutinised by the hand-picked jury to select the class winners, an obligatory step towards the final event that will consecrate the Best of Show!

CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

THE MARRIAGE BETWEEN THE MOTOR CAR OF THE FUTURE AND FASHION

France was the cradle of the Concours d’Elégance in the 1920s and the initiator of these highly-valued events in which the exceptional cars of the day, often personalised by renowned coachbuilders, were on display accompanied by elegant women dressed in the latest fashions created by the great names in French couture.

One of the driving ambitions behind Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille was to revive this glorious epoch by inviting manufacturers and car stylists to display their latest concept cars, the interpretation of the make in question’s future vehicles, to the public associating them with models in the most beautiful outfits of the fashion houses in a unique parade that has received a rousing welcome from spectators.

Thus, premium makes like Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Bugatti, DS Automobiles, Lexus, Maserati, McLaren, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, and coachwork builders Italdesign, Giugiaro, Touring and Zagato unveiled their latest interpretation of the cars of the future at the last four Chantilly Concours d’Elégance, sometimes as a premier, associated with couturiers like Giorgio Armani, Balmain, Hugo Boss, Jean-Paul Gautier, Paco Rabanne, Thierry Mugler, Eymeric François, Alexandre Vauthier, Haider Ackermann, Ann Demeulemeester, Yan Li etc.

Best of Show at the previous events: 2014: Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring. Couturier: Paco Rabanne 2015: BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R. Couturier: Balmain 2016: DS E-TENSE. Couturier: Eymeric François. 2017: Renault Trezor Concept. Couturier: Balmain & Citroën CXperience Concept. Couturier: Yang Li.

CLUBS’ GRAND PRIX A PASTORAL SETTING

The makes’ clubs are the guardians of motor car heritage. They bring together owners who have a passionate relationship with a make or a model they have restored and put back into perfect running order at the cost of hundreds of hours of research and painstaking effort. They are the people who keep the universe of the motor car alive and these collector cars are living proof of the in-depth richness of the history of car production worldwide. They are given pride of place at Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille and are invited to display their cars by nationality and make in dedicated enclosures around the Château. They add life to the elegant Sunday in the country and take part in the huge garden party in a pastoral setting that would have inspired some of the most famous Impressionist painters. From the sophisticated picnic basket to the table decorated in good taste, the overall elegance has to be in harmony to win the Clubs’ Grand Prix prize awarded according to the quality of the presentation, the diversity and originality of the models on show as well as the care taken with the ‘Déjeuner sur l’Herbe.’ In 2017, 42 clubs mustering 800 vehicles took part in this major celebration of the motor car.

Grand Prix des Clubs winners at the previous events: 2014: Club Delahaye 2015: Club Delage 2016: Amicale Tricyclecariste de France 2017: Fiat Fan Club

AN ECLECTIC JURY The prizes are awarded for each concours according to a vote by recognised specialists of a make or a period, major names in the world of the motor car as well as figures in other fields. An eclectic jury, both in terms of culture and origin, ensures its quality. Thus, Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille brings together an international jury from different worlds. In 2017, members included Messrs (FIA President), Patrick Rollet (FIVA President), Carlos Tavares (President of the PSA Group), Nick Mason, (Pink Floyd drummer and collector), Gérard Larrousse (driver and team manager), Paul Belmondo (driver and actor), Margot Laffite (journalist and driver) and Andrea Zagato (Presient of Carrozzeria Zagato).

AN INTERACTIVE CONCOURS The visitors have a role to play as they are encouraged to vote for the Concours d'Elégance. Last but not least, a tribute is also paid to the ladies with prizes awarded to the most elegant and the wearer of the most eye-catching hat. Elégance oblige!

BONHAMS AUCTION

To add the final touch to an event of the importance of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille a sale of high-quality cars was needed. British auction house Bonhams, founded in 1793, the benchmark in the field of arts and antiques and also a specialist in the domain of the collector car, has been part of Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille since 2015 auctioning a hand-picked selection of rare vehicles matching the status of the event.

After the first auction held in the Great Stables Bonhams has now planted its tent in the Château’s gardens and put on a mobile sale much appreciated by the bidders and enthusiasts present.

CELEBRATION OF THE FRENCH ART DE VIVRE

What more beautiful setting than the Chantilly domain, one of the jewels of French national heritage, could blend in in perfect harmony with the celebration of the French Art de Vivre? This magic place, above and beyond its architectural beauty and the history it represents, was a refuge and inspiration for several artists including writers like François-René de Chateaubriand and Gérard Nerval and painters Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot and Paul Cézanne. What more famous residence than the Chantilly Château, where François Vanel organised fabulous feasts under the reign of Louis XIV, could today be the most suitable home for French gastronomy to celebrate the art of good food reinterpreted by starred chefs? And finally the equestrian arts could not be ignored in this city, historically devoted to this ancestral activity, which has led to it being named the “capital of the horse.” Elegance and Arts combine in a perfect marriage on this Sunday at Chantilly.

EXHIBITION IN THE CONDÉ MUSEUM: the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci provides an opportunity to put on an exhibition dedicated to the nude Mona Lisa, a little-known and enigmatic masterpiece on display in the Condé Collection. CERCLE ARTS & ELÉGANCE: gastronomy honoured PARADE OF HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGES ACTIVITIES Garden party Groups of itinerant musicians, pony rides and boats on the Grand Canal Visits to the Horse museum in the Great Stables Old toys, skittles, pedal cars, radio-controlled yachts Optimist regattas on the Grand Canal and the chateau’s pools, make-up, carrousel Exhibitors’ village and boutiques Handcraft workshops: paintings, sculptures, hats, scarves and make up, flowers, barber First flight in hot-air balloons

DRESS CODE A touch of style and lots of pleasure Visitors are asked to dress correctly in homage to the participants on this ephemeral stage, some of whom come from far away. They appreciate visitors who have taken the same care as themselves with their outfits. There are many ways to dress in style as illustrated by talented artist, Alain Bouldouyre.

12 - 14 JULY RETURN TO THE EAST!

Peter Auto has always been motivated by the desire to give the entrants for its grids the opportunity to race on new circuits so it organised its first event in Eastern Europe in 2017. It took place at the Hungaroring, which hosted its first meeting for classic cars after being the theatre of the first Formula 1 grand prix behind the Iron Curtain in 1986.

The 4,381-km circuit comprises 16 corners and is renowned for its twisty layout and the strings of bends that follow one another in quick succession, especially in the second sector. It’s a slow, bumpy, narrow track whose surface is generally very dusty as it is little used for most of the year. Because of its narrowness and the lack of long straights overtaking is very difficult at the Hungaroring so qualifying is of crucial importance to achieve a good result.

The circuit is near Budapest (only 18 km) so the entrants and their teams will be able to discover the glories of the Hungarian capital considered to be the pearl of the Danube because of its majestic monuments, famous spas and thermal baths.

20 - 22 SEPTEMBER IN THE TEMPLE OF THE TIFOSI!

No Peter Auto season passes without a meeting in Italy, the home of many legendary circuits and some of the most prestigious sports cars in the world like Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia and Maserati - authentic jewels in the collective imagination.

In 2015, Monza Historic was staged for the first time followed by the second event in 2017 and it is back on the calendar this year. It will host the Peter Auto grids at the end of September on one of the fastest circuits in the world.

The Monza Autodromo is located in the 800-hectare Parco Reale in the town of Monza to the north of Milan. It was opened in 1922 and it has hosted the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix since 1950 (except 1980) and is the home of the Tifosi, the famous fans. The length of the circuit is 5,793 km and it has 10 corners including the awesome Variante Ascari and the Parabolica. It is the fastest track on the Formula 1 calendar where in 2018 Finnish driver, Kimi Räikkönen, set the fastest lap in the history of the championship at an average speed of 263,588 km/h (1 min 19.119sec).

Between 20-22 September the entrants in Monza Historic will commune with the past of this legendary track on which some of the greatest, and also some of the most tragic, pages in the history of motor sport have been written. The eight Peter Auto grids will rendezvous there backed up by the Formula Junior guest grid.

10TH LE MANS CLASSIC IN 2020 3 - 4 - 5 JULY

Le Mans Classic, created in 2002 by Peter Auto in association with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, will be held for the 10th time on 3, 4, 5 July 2020 on the big Le Mans 24-Hours circuit.

The renown of this event, which is a marvellous retrospective of the most iconic endurance race in the world, has continued to grow with each successive staging to become an eagerly-awaited must organised every two years.

Proof of this is the fact that the number of historic racing cars, drivers from all over the world, car clubs, exhibitors, entertainment and activities has continued to grow at each new event. And in addition, the attendance records have been beaten on each occasion. In 2018, a threshold was exceeded with a record crowd of 195 000 spectators over the weekend who came to see almost 550 racing cars locked in battle out on the track as well as the 8 500 collector cars in the special enclosures on the inside of the circuit, which welcomed 180 clubs representing 60 makes.

Le Mans Classic has pursued its evolution and has continued to add to its field with novelties at each event. In 2018, the demonstration by Global Endurance Legends extended the retrospective of the Le Mans 24 Hours to 2016 also satisfying a younger public. Thus, visitors were able to enjoy 93 years of the history of the greatest endurance race in the world and had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with the drivers and getting within touching distance of the cars. To add to this success the event was awarded the prize of the Motoring Sporting Event of the Year in 2016 and again in 2018 at the International Historic Motoring Awards!

And in 2020, the 10th Le Mans Classic will be celebrated in style with several novelties and several other commemorations like the 50th anniversary of Porsche’s first outright victory in the Le Mans 24 Hours and the twenty- fifth of the V12 BMW-powered McLaren F1 GTR’s overall win in the Sarthe!

PETER AUTO GRIDS

Since the early 2000s Peter Auto has created grids devoted to different periods of the history of motor sport and to different circuit racing cars. The Peter Auto grids highlight GTs, Sports cars, Prototypes and Touring cars that have marked the history of racing.

Thanks to the name that Peter Auto has built up since its creation and the expertise of its teams, the company has acquired a reputation for being able to assemble the richest and biggest grids of historic cars for which it organises races at its European events.

After the creation of the 2.0L Cup in 2017, Peter Auto will add Endurance Racing Legends to its existing races giving entrants and spectators a total of eight grids!

32

Endurance Racing Legends, which began life in 2018 as Global Endurance Legends, will alternate demonstrations and races at five of the six events on the 2019 Peter Auto circuit calendar. The Peter Auto historic race meetings are unanimously appreciated by everybody for their wide-ranging historic diversity thanks to the presence of cars whose construction dates from the middle of the 1950s (The Greatest’s Trophy) to the start of the 1990s (Group C Racing). In 2018, this selection was expanded even further with Jarrah Venables’ club, Global Endurance Legends, which comprises GTs and prototypes from the 1990s-2000s. The grid appeared on four occasions in the form of a parade and was an immediate success with young spectators and collectors. In fact, it was such a hit that the gentlemen drivers said that they would like to see the demonstrations turned into races.

A PROGRESSIVE EVOLUTION In 2019, two choices will be available: participants can enter for three race meetings (Espíritu de Montjuïc, Spa-Classic and Monza Historic) or for the whole season that includes additional demonstrations (Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or and Dix Mille Tours du Castellet). However, despite this evolution it should not be forgotten that the series is aimed above all at drivers who want to have fun at the wheel of exceptional cars like Ferrari F40 LMs, McLaren F1 GTRs, Porsche 911 GT1s, GT-Ones, Chrysler Viper GTS-Rs, Audi R8 LMPs and the Bentley Speed 8. In order to associate cars that are similar in terms of values, history and performance the eligibility criteria have been slightly tweaked for the races, but will be more flexible when it’s not a question of competing against the stop watch. It’s also worth pointing out that the rapprochement between Jarrah Venables and Peter Auto will also concern Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille in 2019 (more information in the near future).

BPR, 25 YEARS ON! The momentum gained by this grid is a real nod to the past for Peter Auto as the organiser has made a large contribution to the history of these cars on the circuits - in the 1990s with the BPR (Barth-Peter-Ratel) and in the 2000s with the Le Mans Series!

In 2019, C.E.R will celebrate its 16th season. These races in which the drivers and their cars have revived the great days of endurance have enjoyed fantastic success throughout Europe while creating one of the most important and attractive series of historic events. What’s more, it was awarded the Race Series of the Year Prize at the International Historic Motoring Awards in 2015.

This year, the entrants in Classic Endurance Racing will again visit some of the most emblematic circuits in the six rendezvous scheduled from April to October.

Since 2004, Classic Endurance Racing has been THE retrospective of endurance races held between 1966 and 1981, an era when this branch of the sport topped the bill in motor racing. It was the glorious era of the Ford GT40s, Porsche 910s and 917s, Ferraris 512s, BMW M1s, etc. driven by Jacky Ickx, Henri Pescarolo and Gérard Larrousse among others, whose playing fields were not limited to the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours: they also raced on the most famous European circuits in the context of the Sports Car World Championship. Classic Endurance Racing is much more than a simple historic commemoration. With grids of 50 cars and drivers determined to pay homage to the glorious past of their vehicles, the on-track spectacle is quite simply awesome!

In 2019, Classic Endurance Racing will be part of six Peter Auto meetings: Espiritu de Montjuïc (5-7 April), Spa-Classic (17-19 May), Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or (7-9 June), Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July), Monza Historic (20-22 September) and Dix Mille Tours (18-20 October).

To meet the increasing demand for entries the field will be split into two at all the Peter Auto events:

CER 1: GTs 1966/1974 & Prototypes 1966/1971 - CER 2: GTs 1975/1981 & Prototypes 1972/1981

Group C Racing, which came under the Peter Auto banner in 2016, wrote some of the most glorious pages in the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Sports Car Endurance World Championship between 1982 and 1993.

The Group C regulations led to the construction of legendary cars that wrote some of the most glorious pages in the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Sports Car Endurance World Championship. Early on, the Porsche 956s dominated despite stiff opposition from the Lancia LC2s, and then much tougher rivals arrived as Jaguar’s, Mercedes-Benz’, Toyota’s, ’s and Mazda’s works teams’ efforts gained momentum. Alongside the major manufacturers small constructors like Cougar, Dome, Rondeau, Spice and WM could still pull off the odd coup thanks to a clever interpretation of the regulations based on strict fuel consumption restrictions. Group C was abandoned in the early 90s after a brief cohabitation with the Sport 3.5s (, Jaguar XJR-14, Toyota TS010, etc), but that era is still considered as the Golden Age of endurance racing by the majority of specialists of this branch of motor sport.

The Group Cs are modern looking machines with their fighter pilot-like cockpits, doors in elytron and their huge rear wings, and they still exert an incredible fascination on all generations of fans with performances that are close to those of the current crop of LM P prototypes as their top speed exceeds 300 km/h!

In 2019, Group C Racing will be part of five Peter Auto meetings: Espiritu de Montjuïc (5-7 April), Spa-Classic (17-19 May), Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July), Monza Historic (20-22 September) and Dix Mille Tours (18-20 October).

The Heritage Touring Cup was created following the success of the Spa Endurance Touring Car race which, together with Sixties’ Endurance, formed the backbone of the 2013 Belgian endurance event. Since then it has gone from strength to strength among the owners and drivers of these saloons that added such excitement to the halcyon era of the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) between 1966 and 1984. The pinnacle of the season was the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours, which became the favourite playing field of the majority of the best-known manufacturers and drivers.

During this long era of touring car racing, a number of manufacturers won the event with their flagship makes. BMW was one of the most loyal participants and over more than three decades the Bavarian manufacturer entered a whole string of models ranging from the T1800 Ti in the 60s to the famous M3 in the 90s. It holds the record for the number of victories (21) in the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours even though the cars from Munich had several rivals during their long reign and were sometimes beaten by the Alfa Romeo GTAs and GTVs, Mercedes-Benz 300 SEs, Ford Mustangs and Capri RSs, Porsche 911s, Mazda RX-7s and Jaguar XJSs.

Boosted by the success of the first event at Spa, Peter Auto was determined to revive this glorious era of the European Touring Car Championship and has given the Heritage Touring Cup a well-deserved choice slot on its programme of events.

In 2019, the Heritage Touring Cup will be part of six Peter Auto meetings: Espiritu de Montjuïc (5-7 April), Spa-Classic (17-19 May), Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or (7-9 June), Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July), Monza Historic (20-22 September) and Dix Mille Tours (18-20 October).

The tenth season of Sixties’ Endurance racing will be celebrated in 2019. Since its debut at the Dix Mille Tours on the Paul Ricard circuit in 2010, this grid has attracted a large following among spectators thanks to its all-encompassing quality field consisting of the top pre-63 sports cars and pre-66 GTs that raced in the world endurance championship of the epoch.

On the track are cars, whose names AC Cobra, Ferrari 250 GT, Lotus 15, Jaguar E-Type, etc. still echo in the memories of fans of this era of endurance racing which, at the time, was the top branch of motor sport.

The above are part of a long list of machines that continue to bewitch the public by their shapes and the noise of their exhausts that hark back to another era. This diversity, which today’s public really appreciates, gave an in-depth richness to the world championship of the time. During these 2-hour long races the pre-66 sports and GT cars revive the battles of those bygone days.

A Peter Auto innovation: a classification based on an Index of Performance which, in addition to the scratch classification, gives an advantage to the small-capacity cars and the oldest warriors up against more powerful and more modern rivals like the very quick AC Cobras that have racking up victories on many circuits.

In 2019, the Sixties’ Endurance will be part of six Peter Auto meetings: Espiritu de Montjuïc (5-7 April), Spa- Classic (17-19 May), Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or (7-9 June), Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July), Monza Historic (20-22 September) and Dix Mille Tours (18-20 October).

The Trofeo Nastro Rosso was launched by Peter Auto in 2010 in the wake of the Shell Ferrari Maserati Challenge held between 1997 and 2009, which saw the most exceptional Ferraris and Maseratis competing against one another in circuit races. The company entrusted Peter Auto with the running of the series from 1999 to 2001, a period that undoubtedly remains the best years of this event on which the curtain fell in 2009 bringing to an end a unique opportunity for spectators to watch these exceptional races.

Peter Auto launched the Trofeo Nastro Rosso with the aim of assembling a field in the same spirit, but also open to pre-66 Sports and GT cars built by other Italian makes like Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Bizzarini, Iso, Lancia, Osca, Stanguellini, etc. Then the Trofeo opened up to other famous makes such as Aston Martin DB4 GTs, Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, Porsche 550s... Given this increase in diversity the Trofeo Nastro Rosso was renamed The Greatest’s Trophy in 2018 and is open to all the exceptional cars that marked the major endurance events of the 50s and 60s.

Peter Auto is well aware of the fact that because some of these cars are now extremely valuable their owners are quite rightly reluctant to enter them in historic events to compete against other cars. Thus, it applies rules based on sporting ethics and strict respect of the models taking part in this championship to guarantee that risks are reduced to the absolute minimum. As respect and fair-play are now the key words for these gentlemen racers competing in the new Greatest’s Trophy, the latter provides a rare opportunity to see once more on the track icons of the golden age of the greatest makes, including many models that were produced in limited numbers whose value has continued to increase over the past few decades.

In 2019, The Greatest’s Trophy will be part of six Peter Auto meetings: Espiritu de Montjuïc (5-7 April), Spa- Classic (17-19 May), Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or (7-9 June), Hungaroring-Classic (12-14 July), Monza Historic (20-22 September) and Dix Mille Tours (18-20 October).

After taking over Group C Racing in 2016 Peter Auto is continued to enlarge and develop its grid offer in historic racing with the introduction of the 2.0L Cup in 2018.

Created in association with Britons Lee Maxted-Page (Porsche Classic & Racing specialist) and James Turner (Director of the 2L Racing Group) this single-make series is reserved for 2-litre short chassis early Porsche 911s prepared in accordance with FIA pre-66 regulations. Since its launch this series has been a resounding success with around 40 cars at the three rounds run in 2018 at the Peter Auto meetings, Spa-Classic, Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or and the Dix Mille Tours.

Thanks to this success this new Peter Auto grid was awarded the prize for the Series of races of the Year at the last International Historic Motoring Awards.
