Last week's winning margin maybe flattered FWE a little and gained us a good three points after the disappointing (as Port Glasgow Athletic) show at Glenrothes. Several players returned to action of course, but what in general do you put the improved performance down to? Anything that particularly pleased you? McBOOKIE.com WEST REGION LEAGUE DIVISION 1

Last week's win was pleasing, yes. Having Rollo and Suttie available is big for any team let alone us. Young Struan offering us something too, was great.

You previously mentioned in an earlier CWC that you were still looking at a couple of potential new signings. What areas of your team do you consider you need to strengthen?

Always looking for players to make the group more competitive but as it stands I’m relatively happy just now and that, coupled with players returning from injury, helps bolster us a bit.

You will of course be hit by absences through holidays and the like and the seemingly inevitable suspensions, but how far away are you from getting a settled team?

With regards to a settled team, it looks like it could maybe not happen anytime soon, some boys still to go on holidays, injuries and yes, suspensions will kick in, no doubt.

Can you provide an update on player availability for this week's Scottish tie?

Liversedge has not trained this week due to work commitments. McConnachie will be out for a few weeks through injury. Gray is still out injured but again work commitments see him away too. Conway trained Wednesday. Luke o’ Brien is back in training too. Unfortunately we had Sturrock and Mackie both missing sessions during the week through injury.

With literally the breadth of the country separating the clubs, Port Glasgow are obviously something of an unknown quantity but they seem to have found a bit of form recently. How much do you know about them?

Daryn took the opportunity to watch them last week and made plenty notes. We believe if we turn up, as they say, we have every chance. PORT GLASGOW’S SEASON
