We lease the building from Bucks County for $1.00 per year; but all repairs and replacement has to be paid by us. We need donations or grants.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Our Workshops on Wheels programs provide schools and other community groups with opportunities for hands-on learning in 5 areas: Native Americans, Underground Railroad, Architectural Fun & Games, Dinosaurs & Fossils, History of Education in Bucks county. Historic Treasure Chests for each topic that are filled with exhibits, background information, technology driven activities, and even lesson plans, all of which were carefully planned to satisfy Pennsylvania state educational standards.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Our Student Volunteer Program offers young people opportunities to give back to the community, while learning to accept greater independent responsibility. Teen Volunteers provide opportunities for youth over 14 to provide valuable assistance both within and outside of our office setting. To help local youth gain the technical skills necessary to succeed in school and beyond, our High Tech Teens project was created to provide working PCs to applicants. The Children’s Cultural Center is a proud sponsor for the Congressional Youth Award. This prestigious program was set up by the U.S. Congress to provide young people the opportunity to set and achieve personally challenging goals. We mentor young people over 13 ½ to help them register with the program and work toward achieving their individual goals by their 24th birthday.

FAMILY EVENTS Our annual International Day Celebration, held each October since 2000, celebrates the cultural diversity of our communities. This day-long festival features cultural entertainment, games, events, food and fun for the entire family. A popular feature of International Day is the Bocce Ball Tournament. Our Special Events Series, held 3 or 4 times a year, features local artists in convenient and intimate performances oriented especially toward families with younger children.

Care is provided, free of charge, by a mostly volunteer physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dental hygienists, and clerical support staff committed to the HealthLink initiative.
