Leanne Thomas On the ball Page 2 Club Incorporation Member Questionnaire Thank you to all members who completed the Member Questionnaire. The follow- ing charts display members’ preferences for the proposed change of Club name and colour. Change of Club Name 5% Caulfield South Netball Club 27% McKinnon Netball Club 68% Glen Eira Netball Club Change of Club Colours Black, Gold & White 31% 41% Navy, Gold & White Brown & Gold 9% 19% Black, Red & White As is evident, there was an overwhelming vote to keep the Caulfield South Net- ball Club name. The change of Club Colour was close, with the Black, Gold & White combination winning by 10%. The Committee will now be focusing on the process to incorporate the Club, which includes investigating options for a new Club uniform . We know this will take some time to research this thoroughly and we would not anticipate changes to uniforms to occur until 2009. Remember!!!!! Registration Day With the establishment of the CSNC Committee it became apparent we needed Registration to review the way the Club was co-ordinating registrations. Congratulations also to Alex Lee, Eliza Lee & Stephanie Parron on their selection with Eastside - and to Emily Long on her selection with the Bayside Under 15 team. If there are any more girls playing in State League or Representative teams let us know as we want to ac- knowledge our members’ achievements. Below is a summary of the teams performances: • U11 — won 3, lost 3, drew 1—placed 3rd overall. • U13A — won 2, lost 6 • U13B — won 3, lost 5 • U15A — won 2, lost 5 • U15B — lost 6 On the ball Page 6 Australian Sports Camps Dates: 9, 10, 11 July, 2008 Venue: State Netball Hockey Centre, Parkville The ASC is conducting its 11 th Netball Camp under the direction of former Phoe- nix player Melanie Vivian and she will be joined by a leading panel of players and experienced coaches. The panel will include former Australian Vice Cap- tain Shelley O'Donnell, together with Vixens and Australian player Bianca Chat- field, other players from the Vixens, Eloise Southby and coaches from the State League. The camp features a three day coaching program with live in or day places avail- able for 7-17 year olds of all standards. The cost of the 3 day camp is $250 but if you pay by 16/05/08 you will receive a $50 discount thereby costing $200. Fundraising The Fundraising Committee met in April to determine the fundraising activities for the Club. All members will have now received a letter and Community Benefit Card from Ritchie’s IGA – Bentleigh East. We encourage all members to present their card when they make any purchase at Ritchies as 1% of the money we spend is automatically allocated to CSNC.

    PARTNERSHIPS “We exist to enrich our community through the sport of netball.” Who we are... Frankston & District Netball Association (FDNA) is a highly respected association member of Netball Victoria, offering both indoor and outdoor facilities to its members and participants. Since its formation in 1966, FDNA has continued to grow into an integral part of the social fabric of the City of Frankston. From early beginnings of less than 100 players to more than 4,000 members and participants in 2018, FDNA is embracing all forms of the game in an ever-changing socio-sport landscape. FDNA caters for a range of player standards, age and formats. These include; highly competitive, social, mixed, walking netball and Net Set Go. FDNA hosts 12 clubs in its Saturday Winter outdoor competition with approximately 200 teams participating, offering an excellent standard of competition which continues to prosper in the region. In addition to the outdoor competition, FDNA hosts nightly competitions in the indoor stadium (excluding Saturday).
