Wrapping of the Ringturm 2014: "Veil of Agnes" by Arnulf Rainer With the work " Schleier der Agnes " (The Veil of Agnes) by Arnulf Rainer , the Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein is continuing the covering of the Ringturm with large-scale artwork. The work can still be seen on the façade of the Ringturm until the middle of September. This year’s art campaign, which can be seen from afar, is the seventh time it has been held. From September 3, Vienna’s Albertina shows important stages in Arnulf Rainer’s complex creativity in a comprehensive exhibition of his work. The Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein is supporting this exhibition as sponsor. more Jewish Life in Vienna: Study trip for Young Professionals in cooperation with the Holocaust Education Centre Toronto Since 2011, the Jewish Welcome Service has also organized Ringturm covering 2014: The study trips for the younger generation. The Jewish Welcome Veil of Agnes by Arnulf Service invited a group of 15 young professionals to visit Rainer. Vienna for nine days from 19-28 May 2014 . The program aims at enabling the visitors to learn about Vienna as a modern, cosmopolitan European city with a highly engaged Jewish community .

There has been a regular exchange of high level visits between the two countries: High Level Bilateral Visits 1955 Prime Minister Pandit Nehru 1971 Prime Minister Indira Gandhi 1980 Chancellor Bruno Kreisky 1983 Prime Minister Indira Gandhi 1984 Chancellor Fred Sinowatz 1995 EAM Pranab Mukherjee 1999 President K. The talks covered entire gamut of bilateral relations and international issues of mutual concern. Special emphasis was put on strengthening economic and commercial cooperation, scientific cooperation and people to people exchanges. President Fischer strongly supported India’s place in a reformed UN Security Council. He said that ‘We recognize that the world is changing fast and that the current composition in the Security Council does not reflect the realities of the new world order currently emerging. Your country deserves to play a bigger role in the Security Council’. Austrian Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer visited India in February 2005. The Joint Statement issued during the visit highlighted the need to keep up the momentum of exchanging high level visits, expanding and deepening cooperation in power, environment, health infrastructure, biotechnology, information technology, engineering and transport, intensifying cooperation between universities and research institutions, expanding direct air- links between the two countries, condemning terrorism and a dialogue on UN related issues.

Spearheaded by an international team of artists, designers, historians, cultural historians, technologists, and educators, the memorial project opened on 23. October 2013 at the Odeon Theatre and will close on 18.October 2014 at the Austrian National Library at the Hofburg Palace. The Vienna Project is the first public art memorial of its kind in Europe and the first public naming memorial in Vienna to represent multiple groups of persecuted Austrian victims and dissidents of National Socialism, presented in both integrated and differentiated formats, murdered between 1938-1945. The victim groups include: Jews, Roma and Sinti, mentally ill and physically and mentally disabled, homosexuals, communists, persons persecuted on political grounds, socialists, Carinthian Slovenian resisters, and Jehovah’s Witnesses.
