Two models will launch this series, the HDD-12 and the HDD-18, both featuring the new High Definition fingerboards and bridges. These new fingerboards and bridges are made with dozens of thin hardwood laminations affixed together using high heat compression and a proprietary adhesive injected with a composite resin. The result of this procedure is an organic sound with a consistent response, increased volume, high sustain, and no dead spots! HDD-18 HDD-2 The HDD-12 features a solid Alaskan Sitka spruce top with quarter sawn, scalloped, Alaskan Sitka spruce bracing. Mahogany neck, back and sides, 18:1 chrome die cast tuners, NuBone Nut and Saddle, and D'Addario EXP16 extended play phosphor bronze guitar strings all come standard. This dreadnought has a beautiful high gloss finish and is also available in a cutaway with active Fishman electronics and in a grand auditorium body shape with cutaway and Fishman electronics. With many of the features of the HDD-12, the HDD-18 steps it up a notch making this guitar look and sound like an instrument 3 times its price! The HDD-18 features a beautiful, highly figured, flame maple top back and sides, maple neck, High Definition fingerboard and bridge, and quarter sawn Alaskan spruce scalloped bracing to enable full rich sound with great sustain.
