BY MEG FOX Two new counselors, Debbie Barnes and Al Huitric, have joined the staff at Mayers Cross- roads Counseling Clinics in Burney and Fall River Mills. Al Huitric is a licensed individ- ual and marriage family therapist who began practicing at Cross- roads in November 2000. Debbie Barnes began coun- seling at the clinic in December and has been a certifi ed alcohol and drug counselor for 10 years. Program Director Diane Tet- reault (interviewed for the Feb. 13 issue of the Intermountain News) is also a marriage and DEBBIE BARNES family therapist at the clinic. Huitric sees patients and couples for individual counseling here on a part time basis and in his private practice in Redding. While he works with a variety of concerns, Huitric said many people come to see him for rela- tionship stresses, depression and anxiety. “My focus is on helping people fi nd ways to have more satisfying relationships, to reduce stress and improve communication, to help them recognize their strengths and to use that untapped strength more often. “I try to assist people in making the best use of the DIANE TETREAULT therapy process to prioritize their needs and fi nd ways to identify Fifth grade Fall River Elementary School students Juliana Corr, at left, and Shelby Sisk, right, with their and practice long range changes teacher Kim Brown, were winners in the American History Essay Contest, sponsored by the Daughters of in their life.” the American Revolution (DAR), Major Pierson B.
