Included Tours in , The following itinerary lists details of the included tours. Please note that the Taj is a 3-3.5 hour drive from Delhi, so day 3 will be a long but incredible day. There are no tours planned for day 4, so you may either relax at the hotel, explore the on your own, or choose an optional tour.

DELHI DAY 1: ARRIVE TO DELHI Check-in to the hotel and spend the evening at your leisure.

DELHI DAY 2: CITY TOUR OF OLD AND (day 3 for March 2017 departure) After breakfast, proceed for the guided city tour of Old & New Delhi.

In visit the historic (only photo stop from outside) – Shah Jehan’s elegant citadel in red sandstone. Very near the Fort is the Jama Masjid (Friday ), India’s largest mosque, also built by . Take an interesting walking tour through the famous of , which is adjacent to both the Fort and the Mosque. Also visit Raj Ghat – the memorial to .

In New Delhi visit , the memorial of the First World War and the road that leads from there to President House, which is flanked by the houses of Parliament and the Government Secretariat buildings. Visit the Qutub Minar, a Tower of Victory that was built in the 12th century by Qutbuddin Aibak, and – although the temple belongs to the Baha’i sect, is open to people of all faiths.

DELHI DAY 3: DAY EXCURSION TO AND THE (day 2 for March 2017 departure) This is a long day, but well worth the trip! Lunch is included.

7:00 am: After an early Breakfast at the hotel; drive to Agra.

AGRA is a medieval city situated on the banks of the River in the northern state of . It finds mention in the epic Mahabharata when it was called Agrabana, or Paradise. Ptolemy, the famous 2nd century geographer, marked it on his map of the world as Agra. It is generally accepted that Sultan Sikandar Lodi, the Ruler of founded it in the year 1504.

10:30 am: Arrive in Agra. Visit Taj Mahal &

The design & layout of Taj Mahal never fails to enrapture architects, engineers, historians as well as common man. (Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays)

After, visit Agra Fort, which is among the finest examples of the fusion architecture that has dominated the Mogul period.
