School News “At Arakura School Kidscan Nitbuster Programme ~ We are very fortunate this year to be continuing with we focus on the the Nit Buster programme, thanks to funding from Kidscan. Positive Behaviour For Learning - PB4L Arakura School Values Hui Wednesday 21st June 3.20 pm in the School Hall Please come along to a meeting to find out more about PB4L and why our School is involved. What values do you want our School to promote the most? Have your say on what our School should look like, feel like and sound like. It is important for you to have a say in your child's education. We are looking forward to sharing with you how we are planning to encourage students to show positive behaviours. We want to hear from you about what values you think they should be learning about. Entertainment Books ~ are on sale at Arakura School again this year. Fundraising is for the Cancer Society who receive 20% from every sale. The book pays itself off within a month if you are taking your family out occasionally, there are numerous cafes in , Wellington and offering two mains for the price of one. The entertainment book can be used as far as Palmerston North and the Wairarapa. Books are available at the school office now. You can also contact Maree Dickson by texting 0272787149.

DASH Under 12’s Marching Team ~ are recruiting for the 2017/18 Marching Season. Be part of the excitement of a brand new team. Training in Petone on Sunday’s with competitions starting in October and a trip away to Hamilton early next year for the March- ing Championships. If you are aged between 7 and 12 and would like to try something different come along to our ‘Give it a Go’ day on Sun- day 11 June, 12noon – 2pm at Petone Central School, Britannia Street, Petone.
