The baseball hitting benefits of the soft toss drill are incredible but this drill must be done properly. The soft toss drill is one of the best baseball coaching drills around and please don't ever sell it short. It is a great time saver to break a bad habit, get into a good habit or to simply maintain your baseball swing if you are in a good groove. Let's say you're into baseball coaching and you want to break a bad habit that one of your baseball hitters has suddenly gotten into. It may take about 300 swings for the baseball hit- ter's muscle memory to take over and break the bad habit.
