APPENDIX C CANONS PARKING REVIEW - STATUTORY CONSULTATION Sept-Oct 2014 ANALYSIS OF COMMENTS Comments: Officer Response: (not in harrow) I am objecting to the increase parking restrictions and pay meter the council is proposing on the parade. As a Installing P&D encourages a turnover of short term parking and customers to the shops particularly with the local resident I feel this will be very bad for local business as there are several shops on the parade that will free 20 minute period for on street P&D. Vehicles will not be able to be left there for the vast majority of the suffer as a result of this. As it is at the moment with a restriction between 2-3 is perfect as commuters are day blocking parking spaces for customers. A single yellow line also means that no-one can park there so unable to park and leave their vehicles all day. This is also good for parents with children at the two local there are no customers for the shops at these times. schools nearby as they are able to find parking after 3pm. In regards to the proposed increase in the Parking restriction, please accept this email as my objection to the Installing P&D encourages a turnover of short term parking and customers to the shops particularly with the proposal. Believe the aim of the council is to kill all trade in small parades and to increase revenue for the free 20 minute period for on street P&D. Vehicles will not be able to be left there for the vast majority of the council, this not the way to attack car drivers.

The Mayor Written response from the Mayor received 11/07/2016 TfL is working with London Councils to encourage a more consistent and effective approach to taxi rank parking restrictions. This has taken the form of joint working, shared information and changes to business process to support effective on-street enforcement. For example, Taxi and Private Hire Compliance Officers regularly patrol alongside Westminster City Council officers. • Planning Committee ADDENDUM
Planning Committee ADDENDUM DATE: Tuesday 3 September 2013 HARROW COUNCIL ADDENDUM PLANNING COMMITTEE DATE : 3 September 2013 1/01 NOTIFICATIONS : Six comments have been received since writing the report to the Planning Committee. These comments can be summarised as follows: - Increase in traffic on and leading to Camrose Avenue, Tenby Road and the surrounding residential roads. - If the capacity was increased, it would be highly detrimental to these residential streets - The surrounding roads and infrastructure do not support a venue of this capacity - There is not enough parking for 5,176 people - An automatic escalator is required at Canons Park tube station - First official correspondence received in August - Disgusted with the way that residents have been treated as a whole - Increase in traffic on match days and on week days - Parents now have to supervise their children on the street - Increase in disturbing noise levels - Foul and abusive language can be heard from the facility – this disrupts bedtime routines for children and playtime in the garden - Increase in rubbish - This has reduced the value and appeal of the area - Had Harrow Council fully informed the residents of its intention to allow Barnet FC to occupy the facility as its home ground, the majority of residents would object - Edgware Scout Club could be very adversely affected by this development as the parking problems will end up with Harrow Council introducing parking controls - The levels of noise will interrupt users of the Scout Centre who may decide to move
