  • APPENDIX C CANONS PARKING REVIEW - STATUTORY CONSULTATION Sept-Oct 2014 ANALYSIS of COMMENTS
APPENDIX C CANONS PARKING REVIEW - STATUTORY CONSULTATION Sept-Oct 2014 ANALYSIS OF COMMENTS Comments: Officer Response: (not in harrow) I am objecting to the increase parking restrictions and pay meter the council is proposing on the parade. As a Installing P&D encourages a turnover of short term parking and customers to the shops particularly with the local resident I feel this will be very bad for local business as there are several shops on the parade that will free 20 minute period for on street P&D. Vehicles will not be able to be left there for the vast majority of the suffer as a result of this. As it is at the moment with a restriction between 2-3 is perfect as commuters are day blocking parking spaces for customers. A single yellow line also means that no-one can park there so unable to park and leave their vehicles all day. This is also good for parents with children at the two local there are no customers for the shops at these times. schools nearby as they are able to find parking after 3pm. In regards to the proposed increase in the Parking restriction, please accept this email as my objection to the Installing P&D encourages a turnover of short term parking and customers to the shops particularly with the proposal. Believe the aim of the council is to kill all trade in small parades and to increase revenue for the free 20 minute period for on street P&D. Vehicles will not be able to be left there for the vast majority of the council, this not the way to attack car drivers.

Chosen to receive Kayne’s gift of immortality, Aislinn has spent centuries searching for justice, while avoiding the politics and intrigues of the London Coven and its ruthless ruler, Julius. But in a world where blood is power, there are those who will do anything and stop at nothing to possess it. Is Aislinn prepared for what is coming? A Bad Moon is rising… CHAPTER 1 urning into a narrow alley, the darkness grew thicker around Aislinn, and T the cold bit just a touch deeper and sharper with every step. The dull, brown-brick Georgian buildings pressed heavily in, creating only an arrowhead of inky, velvet sky overhead. Most of the factories looked abandoned after the working day was done, windows grimy behind heavy iron bars.

  • Mayfair Area Guide
Mayfair Area Guide Living in Mayfair • Mayfair encompasses the area situated between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Park Lane, in the very heart of London’s West End, and adjacent to St James’s and its glorious Royal parks to the south. Overview • For over 300 years, Mayfair and St James’s have provided grand homes, luxury goods and services to the aristocracy. The area is characterised by its splendid period architecture, beautiful shop fronts, leading art galleries, auction houses, wine merchants, cosmopolitan restaurants, 5 star hotels and gentleman’s clubs. Did You Know • Mayfair is named after an annual 15 day long May Fair that took place on the site that is now Shepherd Market, from 1686 until 1764. • There is a disused tube station on Down Street that used to serve the Piccadilly line. It was closed in 1932 and was later used by Winston Churchill as an underground bunker during the Second World War. • No. 50 Berkeley Square is said to be the most haunted house in London, so much so that it will give any psychic an electric shock if they touch the external brickwork. • Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was born in a house on Bruton Street and lived in Mayfair during her infancy. Her future husband Prince Philip had his stag night at The Dorchester. • The oldest outdoor statue in London is located above the entrance of Sotheby’s on New Bond Street. The Ancient Egyptian effigy of the lion-goddess Sekmet is carved from black igneous rock and dates to around 1320 BC.
