E- mails: [email protected] and [email protected] [Özdikmen, H. 2010. The Turkish Dorcadiini with zoogeographical remarks (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae). Munis Entomology & Zoology, 5 (2): 380-498] ABSTRACT: All taxa of the tribe Dorcadiini Latreille, 1825 in Turkey are evaluated and summarized with zoogeographical remarks. Also Dorcadion praetermissum mikhaili ssp. n. is described in the text. KEY WORDS: Dorcadion, Neodorcadion, Dorcadiini, Lamiinae, Cerambycidae, Coleoptera, Turkey. The main aim of this work is to clarify current status of the tribe Dorcadiini in Turkey. The work on Turkish Dorcadiini means to realize a study on about one third or one fourth of Turkish Cerambycidae fauna. As the same way, Turkish Dorcadiini is almost one second or one third of Dorcadiini in the whole world fauna. Turkish Dorcadiini is a very important group. This importance originated from their high endemism rate, and also their number of species. However, the information on all Turkish Dorcadiini is not enough. The first large work on Dorcadiini species was carried out by Ganglbauer (1884). He evaluated a total of 152 species of the genus Dorcadion and 13 species of the genus Neodorcadion. He gave 30 Dorcadion species and 4 Neodorcadion species for Turkey. Then, the number of Turkish Dorcadion species raised to 53 with 23 described species by Heyden (1894), Ganglbauer (1897), Jakovlev (1899), Daniel (1900, 1901), Pic (1895, 1900, 1901, 1902, 1905, 1931), Suvorov (1915), Plavilstshikov (1958).

  • Kózkowate (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) Roztocza
POLSKA AKADEMIA NAUK INSTYTUT ZOOLOGII FRAGMENTA FAUNISTICA Tom 35 Warszawa, 19921.06.30 Nr 22 J e r z y M . G u t o w s k i Kózkowate (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) Roztocza [Z 4 tabelami i 2 rysunkami w tekście] A bstract. On the basis of the materials collected from 1986 to 1990 in Roztocze Upland (SE Poland), an analysis of museum collections and literature data 103 species of Cerambycidae were recorded (108 species if the Ukrainian part of Roztocze included). In the Roztoczański National Park 80 species of Cerambycidae were recorded. Agapanthia cardui parmonica K r a t o c h v il , 1985 was now given a status of subspecies. WSTĘP Kózkowate należą do najlepiej poznanych grup chrząszczy w Polsce, poświę cono im bardzo dużo publikacji faunistycznych, zwłaszcza na początku XX wieku. Jednak większość z tych prac ma charakter przyczynkarski, a popra wność oznaczeń w niektórych z nich budzi wątpliwości. Wiele danych wymaga sprawdzenia i aktualizacji. Podobna sytuacja miała miejsce w odniesieniu do obszaru Roztocza. Gór Świętokrzyskich i Puszczy Białowieskiej. Szcze gólnie interesujący wydawał się problem, na ile fauna omawianego regionu nawiązuje do fauny kózkowatych w regionach górskich. Pierwsze informacje o kózkowatych polskiej części Roztocza pochodzą od N o w i c k i e g o (1870, 1873) i Ł o m n i c k i e g o (1886), którzy podali łącznie 8 gatunków z Korni (Roztocze Południowe).

We assessed short-term changes in cursorial beetle and Ključne besede: združba spider assemblages after a summer fire in the meadow steppe in Central European členonožcev, Galičija Gora, Russia. The responses of spider and beetle assemblages to the fire event were travniška stepa, poletni požar. different. In the first post-fire year, the same beetle species dominated burnt and unburnt plots, the alpha-diversity of beetle assemblages was similar, and there were no pronounced changes in the proportions of trophic groups. Beetle species richness and activity density increased in the second post-fire year, while that of the spiders decreased. The spider alpha-diversity was lowest in the first post- fire year, and the main dominants were pioneer species. In the second year, the differences in spider species composition and activity density diminished. The main conclusion of our study is that the large-scale intensive summer fire caused no profound changes in cursorial beetle and spider assemblages of this steppe plot. Mitigation of the fire effect is explained by the small plot area, its location at the edge of the fire site and the presence of adjacent undisturbed habitats with herbaceous vegetation.

  • Updated 02.03.2021 REMARKS #1 Some Authors Regarded Vesperus
Updated 02.03.2021 REMARKS #1 Some authors regarded Vesperus serranoi as a synonym of V. conicicollis; according to Vives (2000) V. conicicollis = V. baesuriensis. According to C.Pesarini and A.Sabbadini (2004), V. ligusticus is a species; V.strepens litigiosus, stat. nov. was established, that was not accepted by E.Vives (2004). According to Vives (2004): V. conicicollis hispalensis Fuente, 1901 = V. baesuriensis Zuzarte, 1985; V. bolivari Oliveira, 1893 = V. reitteri Cameron, 1912 V. strepens ssp. ligusticus Vitali, 2001 is accepted. V. s. litigiosus (as V. strepens m. litigiosus was recorded for Italy (Vitali, 2005). According to P. Berger and G. Sama (2006) V. strepens = V. litigiosus = V. ligusticus. Vesperus aragonicus was recorded for France (Comelade, 2000). V. barredai Verdugo, 2009 close to V.bolivari was described from Sevilla (Andalusia, Spain), Monforte (Alto Alentejo) and Coruche (Ribatejo) both in Portugal. #2 Callimus (Procallimus) semicyaneus Pic, 1905 described from Greece (Mt. Taygetos) was supposed for Macedonia (Mikšić & Georgijević, 1973: 45) and shown for Macedonia by Bense (1995: 233 – as Callimus egregius) without any arguments. C. semicyaneus was recorded (Adlbauer, 1988: 280) for “westlichen Kleinasien” without exact localities. #3 The tribe system of Lepturinae (with Rhamnusiini, Oxymirini, Enoploderini and so on) is more or less agree with P.Švácha (1989 in Švácha, Danilevsky, 1989) divisions, though P.Švácha joined Rhamnusium and Enoploderes in one tribe. Rhamnusiini, Oxymirini and Enoploderini were named by Danilevsky in “A Check-list …” (Althoff and Danilevsky,1977) with the refrences to the characters published by Švácha (1989 in Švácha, Danilevsky, 1989), so are available according to the Art.

According to personal communication by M.Rejzek (15.10.2004): “Ergates faber was really described in 1761 and published in Fauna Svecia [in fact 1760](not in Systema Naturae, ed. 12, as written by many authors such as Aurivillius in Catalogus coleopterorum, Plavilstshikov (1936) or Villiers (1978). If you have a look at Systema Naturae ed. 12: 622, you will see that Linnaeus himself refers to “Fn. Svec.”. Bily & Mehl (Fauna Scandinavica) already wrote 1761.” Ergates faber m. hartigi Demelt, 1963 and E.f. ssp. alkani Demelt, 1968 were regarded by Villiers (1978) as aberrations of females. #4 Prinobius is a separate genus, according to Villiers (1978). According to Vives (2000), Macrotoma Serv.,1832-June is a junitor homonym of Macrotoma Laporte,1832-April (Diptera) and a new name was proposed: Prinobiini Vives, 2000. Macrotoma Serv.,1832 was maintained by D.Heffern et al., 2006, so Prinobiini is superfluous. According to Sama (1994): Prinobius myardi Muls., 1842 = Prionus scutellaris Germ., 1817 nec Olivier, 1795 (Pyrodes).

JOURNAL OF NATURAL HISTORY, 2016 http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/00222933.2016.1193653 REVIEW ARTICLE Dorcadionini of Turkey (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) Hüseyin Özdikmen Science Faculty, Department of Biology, Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey ABSTRACT ARTICLE HISTORY The Dorcadionini fauna of Turkey is reviewed, and a complete list Received 18 September 2015 with type information and provincial distributions is presented. Accepted 20 May 2016 Two hundred and seventy-eight species-group taxa are catalo- KEYWORDS gued in total. This represents approximately 35% of the known Coleoptera; Cerambycidae; Palaearctic Dorcadionini fauna. The Turkish Dorcadionini fauna is Dorcadionini; list; Turkey characterised by 227 endemic species-group taxa. So its ende- mism ratio is very high (approximately 82%). Distributions of the taxa in Turkey are given based on available literature records. Taxa in the list are arranged systematically under tribe, genus, subgenus (when recognised), species and subspecies (when recognised). The species group taxa whose occurrences in Turkey need conforma- tion are not included in the list but are given separately. Additionally, two taxa are removed from the list: Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) investitum Breuning in Braun, 1978a as nomen nudum and Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) rosinae K. Daniel in Bodemeyer, 1900 as nomen nudum; and two taxa are given as status nov. and comb. nov.: Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) atritarse Pic, 1931a and Dorcadion (Cribridorcadion) equestre bernhauerorum Peks, 2010. Moreover, a checklist of Dorcadionini of Turkey is presented in an appendix. Introduction Turkey is adjacent to large bodies of water to the south, west and north; it has continental properties. Turkey is the centre of origin of many taxa, and its exceptionally diverse topography has provided refugia in which many species have survived in spite of Downloaded by [University of Cambridge] at 00:03 09 August 2016 harsh geological and climatic changes.

Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology NAS of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine e-mail: [email protected] A total of 320 species from 42 families were registered in the herpetobios (stratobiont and epigeobiont beetles) of the urbocenosis of Kharkiv. Among these more than 160 species are recorded for the first time for this metropolis. Four species of ground beetles (Notiophilus germinyi Fauvel, Clivina fossor L., Laemostenus terricola Herbst and Masoreus wetterhali Gyll.) were not listed for Ukraine in the Catalogue of Palearctic Coleoptera. The speciesOmosita japonica Reitter, 1874 (Nitidulidae) is new for Ukranian fauna. Moreover, 93 species from 17 families are the dominant species (at least in one of the urban ecosystems). Among these, eudominants are represented with almost 20 species, but the number of eudomonants did not exceed ten species in separate urban cenoses. Carabidae (80), Staphylinidae (36), Curculionidae (32) and Tenebrionidae (8 species) dominate both, in species composition and abundance. The total part of these groups reached at least 90% of Coleoptera, recorded in urban-cenosis. Separate species of Silphidae, Dermestidae, Elateridae, Chrysomelidae, Leiodidae, Coccinellidae, Nitidulidae, Scarabaeidae, Histeridae and Lucanidae were sporadically usual in most plots.
