Earlier this year, when we were first introduced to the term COVID-19, we had no way of knowing just how much it would change our lives. The concept of social distancing was abruptly launched into society and most of us believed that after a short while, life would go back to normal. We stayed home, virtually kept in touch with family and , and crossed our fingers that we would “flatten the curve” so life as we knew it would return. Fast forward six months. Here we are, mid- way through autumn, and COVID-19 has encroached on every aspect of our lives. From work to play, worship to education, travel to fitness, we have learned to coexist with this unwelcomed visitor. The year 2020 has undoubtedly been a wild and crazy adventure. This pandemic has introduced unparalleled challenges for each and every one of us. The staff at the Northwest Ohio Hemophilia Center would like to thank our patients and their family members for your continued perseverance through this pandemic. The efforts you have all put forth are truly commendable. While we have already traveled so very far, we’ve not yet reached the end of the road. Our staff would like to encourage you to stay the course! Keep wearing those masks, wash your hands, maintain your physical distance, and unless medically unable- get your flu shot! We are, one day at a time, getting through this together.
