Camp The Atlanta FSC has been selected to host one of two S.T.A.R.S. camps in the Southeast on Sunday, June 17, following the Atlanta Open at The Cooler. S.T.A.R.S. is a new system of off-ice fitness assessment and development designed to support U.S. Figure Skating's existing testing and competition progressions. The camp's objectives are to promote and enhance athleticism and athletic ability in all young figure skaters through assessment, recognition and opportunity; reduce the rate of injury across all figure skating disciplines and competitive levels; identify skaters who demonstrate exceptional aptitude for athleticism; and assist coaches and parents in developing and guiding their skater's potential. In order to participate, you must be a U.S. Figure Skating member, at least six years old, have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test, and be injury free upon time of assessment. U.S. Figure Skating’s websites and its contributing writers should use this guide in order to adhere to the organization’s writing style. Not all skating terms/events are listed here. THE TOP 11 Here are the top 11 most common style references. U.S. Figure Skating Abbreviate United States with periods and no space between the letters. The legal name of the organization is the U.S. Figure Skating Associa- tion, but in text it should always be referred to as U.S. Figure Skating. USFSA and USFS are not acceptable.     SUMMARY OF PROPOSALS FOR A MAIL VOTE IN REPLACEMENT OF THE 58th ORDINARY CONGRESS 2021 PROVISORY VERSION APRIL 30, 2021 In accordance with the ISU Constitution, VII. Procedural Provisions to the Constitution, A. Congress- Organization, Article 30, paragraphs 2.a) and b), please find below a summary of Proposals from ISU Members, the Council, the Sports Directors and Technical Committees for changes in the Constitution, General Regulations and Special Regulations as well as a summary of Proposals for Technical Rules changes. This summary includes the ISU Council’s recommendations for each Proposal as well as the ISU Council’s determination whether a Proposal shall be subject to a mail vote (Urgent & Essential or Drafting or Clarification) or be postponed to the 2022 ISU Congress. In accordance with ISU Circular Letter No. 623 of March 10, 2021, between April 30 and May 15, 2021, ISU Members and Technical Committees will have the possibility to submit comments on the Council selection of Proposals to be voted upon as well as to put questions to the Council relating to the agenda items and to the Council recommendations. ISU Members will furthermore have the possibility to submit objections to the proposed Technical Rule changes. All ISU Member and Technical Committee comments, questions and objections to proposed Technical Rule changes, as well as the ISU Council responses, will be posted on the ISU Extranet by May 24, 2021. This procedure will ensure an adequate level of transparent debate among the ISU Members, ISU Technical Committees and the ISU Council. Taking into account the comments, questions and objections received, the ISU Council will decide upon and publish by June 15, 2021 the Agenda with the final Proposals to be voted upon by ISU Members through a mail vote.

    Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final® and Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2018/19 December 5-9, 2018 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is proud to be the host of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2018/19®. The Province of British Columbia has a climate that varies significantly from region to region, however, the Vancouver- area is largely influenced by its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and various mountain ranges. Vancouver, being in British Columbia’s South Coast region, experiences a mild climate year-round, and enjoys warm summers where the temperatures average around 20 degrees Celsius, and some of the mildest winters in Canada with temperatures rarely going below 0 degrees Celsius. Vancouver also gets lots of rain which is a common occurrence, particularly during the fall and winter. Vancouver has one of the healthiest economies in Canada and is home to the “Pacific Rim” gateway which connects it to other countries along the rim of the Pacific Ocean, as well as various economic sectors as tourism, film, agriculture, technology, and natural resources. Due to its location, Vancouver is also accessible by various methods of transportation via ground, air, and sea.
