October 20, 2020 Lausanne, Switzerland ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar season 2021/22 At its last meeting on October 16, 2020 the Council approved the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Calendar for the season 2021/22 as follows: - August 18-21, 2021 Courchevel / FRA - August 25-28, 2021 Edmonton / CAN (including Pair Skating) - September 1-4, 2021 Kosice / SVK (including Pair Skating) - September 15-18, 2021 Krasnoyarsk / RUS (including Pair Skating) - September 22-25, 2021 Ljubljana / SLO - September 29 - October 2, 2021 Gdansk / POL - October 6-9, 2021 Linz / AUT (including Pair Skating) The 2020/21 edition of the Series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. About the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series The ISU Junior Grand Prix Figure Skating Series started in 1997. It includes seven events and the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. The Series features some of the up and coming Skaters of the world and provides young skaters aged 13 to 19 (21 for the male Ice Dance and Pair Skating partners) with the opportunity to compete at a high international level. A points system based on the ranking has been established to determine the qualifiers for the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. Points are obtained according to the results in each of the seven events and only the top six Skaters / Couples in each discipline can qualify for the Final. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating is financed by the ISU Development Program. Since 2011 all events of the Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series are live streamed on the official ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating YouTube Channel . -

Among those competing for a spot are two-time World Champions Meagan Duhamel/Eric Radford (CAN), two-time World medalists Maia Shibutani/Alex Shibutani (USA) and Four Continents Champion Nathan Chen (USA). Bridgestone Skate America is the sixth and last event in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series that culminates in the Final. A total of 57 skaters/couples from 9 ISU members compete in Lake Placid. Overview of the top contenders The battle for the last tickets to the Grand Prix Final will be exciting in the Men’s event. Four Continents Champion Nathan Chen (USA) comes with a gold from Rostelecom Cup while Sergei Voronov (RUS) won NHK Trophy earlier this month. NHK Trophy silver medalist Adam Rippon (USA) and Audi Cup of China silver medalist Boyang Jin (CHN) as well have a good shot at the Final. Other contenders include Han Yan (CHN), Kevin Reynolds (CAN), Takahito Mura (JPN), Ross Miner (USA) and Maxim Kovtun (RUS). In the Ladies, 2016 World silver medalist Ashley Wagner (USA) and Polina Tsurskaya (RUS) both have a bronze medal from their first event and can secure a spot in the Final if they win in Lake Placid. -

Camp The Atlanta FSC has been selected to host one of two S.T.A.R.S. camps in the Southeast on Sunday, June 17, following the Atlanta Open at The Cooler. S.T.A.R.S. is a new system of off-ice fitness assessment and development designed to support U.S. Figure Skating's existing testing and competition progressions. The camp's objectives are to promote and enhance athleticism and athletic ability in all young figure skaters through assessment, recognition and opportunity; reduce the rate of injury across all figure skating disciplines and competitive levels; identify skaters who demonstrate exceptional aptitude for athleticism; and assist coaches and parents in developing and guiding their skater's potential. In order to participate, you must be a U.S. Figure Skating member, at least six years old, have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test, and be injury free upon time of assessment. GENERAL REGULATIONS The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Logroño 2015 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution and General Regulations 2014, the Special Regulations & Technical Rules Single & Pair Skating and Ice Dance 2014, and the relevant ISU Communications. Participation in the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Logroño 2015 is open to all Competitors who belong to an ISU Member, and qualify with regard to eligibility according to Rule 102, provided their ages fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 3 b) and they meet the participation, citizenship and residency requirements in Rule 109, paragraphs 1 through 5 and ISU Communication 1420 or any update of this Communication. In accordance with Rule 109 of the ISU General Regulations and ISU Communication 1420 all Skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.
