1 The Hunting Regulation, BC Reg. 190/84, is amended in section 1(1) by repealing the definition of "bag limit "and substituting the following: "bag limit" means the maximum number of a species of wildlife or a type of wildlife that a person may take or kill (a) in the case of mammals, in one licence year, (b) in the case of birds other than turkeys, in one day, and (c) in the case of turkeys, in one licence year, unless another period is specified;

2 Section 12 in amended

(a) in paragraph (a) (iii) by striking out "1 canvasback duck" and substituting "4 canvasback ducks", and

(h) in paragraph (b) (iii) by striking out "2 canvasback" and substituting "8 canvasback':

3 Section 15 (3) is amended by striking out "a readily identifiable part of the hide" and substituting "the tail or another readily identifiable part of the hide"

4 Section 16 is amended

(a) in subsection (I) (a) by striking out "1 or" and substituting "2 or",

(b) in subsection (1) (b) by repealing subparagraph (v),

(c) in subsection (2) (b) (i) by striking out "1 ol" and substituting "2 or",

(d) in subsection (2) (b) (ii) by striking out "caribou or bison" and substituting "or caribou",

(e) in subsection (4) (a) (ii) and (iii) by striking out "in Region 8 only",

(I) in subsection (4)(e) by repealing subparagraph (i) and substituting the following: (i) a front incisor tooth, and

5 Section 16.1 is amended

(a) by renumbering it section 16.1 (1),

(b) in paragraph (a) by adding the _following item (iv) a bison„

(c) in paragraph (d) by striking out "in Region 4 "and substituting "in Regions I and 4", and

(d) by adding the following subsection:

page 2 of 9 (2) A person who takes or kills a mule (black-tailed) deer buck in M.U.s 7-19 to 7-22, 7-31 to 7-36 or 7-42 to 7-58 commits an offence if he or she fails, within 72 hours after the date of the kill, to report by depositing a completed Harvest Data Card into a drop box located outside Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection offices in Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd or Prince George, stating the place and the date of the kill, the number of days hunted before the animal was killed, and the sex of the animal.

6 Section 17 (1) (I) is amended by adding "turkey, "after "game birds, other than".

7 Section 19 is amended

(3) In M.U.s 1-1, 1-2 and 1-4 to 1-6, the open season for Canada geese is November 3 to November 4. (4) The open seasons set out in subsections (1) to (3) are restricted to persons under 19 years of age.

10 Part 1 of Schedule 2 is repealed and the attached Part 1 of Schedule 2 is substituted.

11 Part 2 of Schedule 2 is amended

(a) in section 2 (4) by striking nut "thence southwesterly and southerly along the M.U. boundary" and substituting "thence southeasterly and southerly along the M.U. boundary",

(b) by repealing section 2 (5), and

(c) in section 9 (i) in subsection (1) by striking out "September 30 to October 1 "and substituting "September 29 to September 30", (ii) in subsection (2) by striking out "September 2 to September 3" and substituting "September 1 to September 2", and (iii) in subsection (3) by striking out "and Ross' geese is September 30 to October I "and substituting "and Ross's geese is September 29.to September 30".

12 Part 1 of Schedule 3 is repealed and the attached Part 1 of Schedule 3 is substituted.

13 Part 2 of Schedule 3 is amended by adding the following section:

16 Part 3 of Schedule 4 is amended

(a) in section 1 (i) in subsection (1) by adding "in one licence year"after "the hag limit for mule (black-tailed) deer is one",

(ii) in subsection (2) by striking out "in M.U.s 4-1 to 4-9 and 4-14 to 4-40" and substituting "in M.U.s 4-6 to 4-9, 4-14 to 4-19, 4-27 to 4-33, 4-38 and 4-39", and (iii) by adding the following subsection:

18 Part 2 of Schedule 5 is amended

(a) in section 4 (2) by striking out "has one antler which is 75 cm in length or longer or", and

(b) by adding the following section:

White-tailed Deer 14 The open season for hunting white-tailed deer bucks with a bow only in M.U.s 5-01, 5-02, 5-13 and 5-14 is from September 1 to September 9 and December 1 to December 10.".

19 Part 1 of Schedule 6 is repealed and the attached Part 1 of Schedule 6 is substituted.

20 Part 2 of Schedule 6 is amended

(a) in section 3 by adding the following subsection: (14.1) There is no open season for mountain goat in that portion of M.U. 6-30 below 3 500 feet and located to the south and west of the Kispiox River, downstream from the confluence of the Kispiox River and McCully Creek and south of McCully Creek. , and

(b) in section 6 (i) in subsection (9), by striking out "September 10 to November 15 " and substi- tuting "October 2 to October 26", and (ii) by adding the following subsection: (9.1) The open season for hull moose in the parts of M.U.s 6-3 and 6-11 not referred to in subsection (9) is September 10 to November 15.

21 Part 1 of Schedule 7 is repealed and the attached Part 1 of Schedule 7 is substituted.

22 Part 2 of Schedule 7 is amended

(a) in section 2 (i) by changing the marginal note to "Mule (black-tailed) deer and White-tailed deer",

23 Part 3 of Schedule 7 is amended

(a) in section 1 by adding the following subsection: (3) Despite subsection (1), the hag limit for mule (black-tailed) deer bucks in M.U.s 7-19 to 7-22, 7-31 to 7-36, 7-42 to 7-52, 7-54, 7-57 and 7-58 is one in three licence years.,

(b) by repealing section 2 and substituting the following: 2 The bag limit for thinhorn mountain sheep in Region 7 is, (a) if the sheep is determined on compulsory inspection to be at least 8 years of age, one, and (b) if the sheep is determined on compulsory inspection to be less than 8 years of age, one in three licence years., and

(c) by adding the following sectica:

Cougar 3 The bag limit for cougar is one.

24 Part 1 of Schedule 8 is repealed and the attached Part 1 of Schedule 8 is substituted.

25 Part 2 of Schedule 8 is amended

(a) in section 1 by adding the following subsection: (1) The open season for white-tailed deer bucks in M.U.s 8-1, 8-12, 8-14, 8-23, 8-24 and 8-25 during the period September 1 to September 9, excepting bow only seasons, is restricted to persons less than 19 years of age., and

26 by adding the following section:

Waterfowler Heritage Days 10 (1) In M.U.s 8-1 to 8-15 and 8-21 to 8-26, the open seasons for ducks, snow geese, Ross's geese, white-fronted geese and Canada geese is September 10 to September 11. (2) The open season set out in subsection (1) is restricted to persons under 19 years of age.
