Authority under which Order is made: Act and section:-Wildlife Act, R.S.B.C. 1996 chapter 488 section 108 Other (specify):-order in council 1109/84 June 26, 2001 I I A001/13 page 1 of 9 APPENDIX 1 The Hunting Regulation, BC Reg. 190/84, is amended in section 1(1) by repealing the definition of "bag limit "and substituting the following: "bag limit" means the maximum number of a species of wildlife or a type of wildlife that a person may take or kill (a) in the case of mammals, in one licence year, (b) in the case of birds other than turkeys, in one day, and (c) in the case of turkeys, in one licence year, unless another period is specified; 2 Section 12 in amended (a) in paragraph (a) (iii) by striking out "1 canvasback duck" and substituting "4 canvasback ducks", and (h) in paragraph (b) (iii) by striking out "2 canvasback" and substituting "8 canvasback': 3 Section 15 (3) is amended by striking out "a readily identifiable part of the hide" and substituting "the tail or another readily identifiable part of the hide" 4 Section 16 is amended (a) in subsection (I) (a) by striking out "1 or" and substituting "2 or", (b) in subsection (1) (b) by repealing subparagraph (v), (c) in subsection (2) (b) (i) by striking out "1 ol" and substituting "2 or", (d) in subsection (2) (b) (ii) by striking out "caribou or bison" and substituting "or caribou", (e) in subsection (4) (a) (ii) and (iii) by striking out "in Region 8 only", (I) in subsection (4)(e) by repealing subparagraph (i) and substituting the following: (i) a front incisor tooth, and (g) by repealing paragraph (I). 5 Section 16.1 is amended (a) by renumbering it section 16.1 (1), (b) in paragraph (a) by adding the _following item (iv) a bison„ (c) in paragraph (d) by striking out "in Region 4 "and substituting "in Regions I and 4", and (d) by adding the following subsection: page 2 of 9 (2) A person who takes or kills a mule (black-tailed) deer buck in M.U.s 7-19 to 7-22, 7-31 to 7-36 or 7-42 to 7-58 commits an offence if he or she fails, within 72 hours after the date of the kill, to report by depositing a completed Harvest Data Card into a drop box located outside Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection offices in Fort Nelson, Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd or Prince George, stating the place and the date of the kill, the number of days hunted before the animal was killed, and the sex of the animal. 6 Section 17 (1) (I) is amended by adding "turkey, "after "game birds, other than". 7 Section 19 is amended (a) in subsection (1) by adding the following items: Duck Lake Protected Area (M.U. 2-12) Inland Lake Provincial Park (M.U. 2-12) Mount Elphinstone Provincial Park (M.U. 2-5), (h) in subsection (2) by striking out "North Thompson Oxbows Jensen Island Provincial Park (M.U. 3-28)" and "North Thompson Oxbows-Manteau Provincial Park (M.U. 3-44)", (c) in subsection (4) by adding the following items: Cummins River Protected Area (M.U. 4-40) Beaver Creek Protected Area (M.U. 4-8) Bowron Lake Provincial Park (those portions in M.U.s 5-15, 7-5 and 7-6 only) , and (d) in subsection (5) by (i) striking out "Babine Mountains Recreational Area" and substituting "Wahine Mountains Provincial Park", (ii) striking out "Kakwa Recreation Area" and substituting Kakwa Provincial Park and Protected Area", and (iii) adding the following items: Adams Lake Marine Provincial Park (M.U. 3-37) Arctic Pacific Lakes Provincial Park (M.U.s 7-16, 7-18, 7-23) Bearhole Lake Provincial Park (M.U. 7-20) Bearhole Lake Protected Area (M.U. 7-20) Beatton River Provincial Park (M.U. 7-33) Bobtail Mountain Provincial Park (M.U. 7-12) Bocock Peak Provincial Park (M.U. 7-31) Border Lake Provincial Park (M.U. 6-21) Bowron Lake Provincial Park — those portions in M.U. 7-5, 7-6 and 5-15 only Buse Lake Protected Area (M.U. 3-20) Butler Ridge Provincial Park (M.U.
