11Th-14Th of June 2020 – Beyond the Shadows Into Peace 11th-14th of June 2020 – Beyond The Shadows into Peace Join this playful, transforming 4-day workshop with Jamie Catto, the creative coach - whom with his wit, wisdom and compassion shakes up your life and challenges your perceptions of who you think you are! Workshop information: During the four days of intensive but fun games and tools, we go for peace within ourselves so that we can reflect it out into the world. We navigate through the shadows of fear and steer a course into the sunshine of calm. We all have the ability to do this, but in the workshop we awaken the skills who have been sleeping within us. At the end of the four days a transformation has taken place. Through the gentle and heart-opening games we learn techniques to quiet the mind, retain playfulness, to stay on the path of light and peace in times of worry and anxiety. Jamie’s workshop helps us to turn our demons into friends and to step out beyond our shadows into peace! Workshop aims: • You will laugh your head off and realise how much energy you’ve been wasting wearing masks to satisfy other people who’s values you don’t necessarily share. • You will realize how precious each day is and how much more space there is for mischief and playfulness in the world, especially yours. • You will forgive yourself for all the shame and negativity you’ve allowed yourself to carry due to old beliefs from uptight parents, careers and teachers of old. • You will reclaim vast amounts of energy and joy and channel it into your creativity and passions Location of the workshop: This 4-day workshop is located in the north of Amsterdam, on a beautiful ecological Urban Farm called NoordOogst (www.noordoogst.org). The workshop is held in a newly developed, calm and cosy space called NOAM (www.noam-meetings.com) with lush and beautiful surroundings. We will work indoors and outdoors. The location is very near to the centre of Amsterdam but has a very green and sustainable ambiance. There is free parking and very quick and easy access to the ring road A10 and to Schiphol airport. At the venue there are a number of other facilities such as a few restaurants, beer brewery, vegetable farm, chickens and pigs, a butterfly garden and a beekeeper. Accommodation: The sleeping facilities are at the venue in a charming ecological lodge. (www.amsterdamfarmlodge.com) Workshop participants will get a discounted price. There are shared apartments with 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 or 7 people (men and women separately). The costs for this accommodation are € 100-125 per person for all three nights. There is also an option to book your own accommodation. This will be further away from the venue and more expensive. For more information about this option please e-mail the organizer Elin Karlsson, see below. If you live in The Netherlands, there is also the option to stay in your own home and to not book any accommodation. Staying together and staying “in the vibe” will though enhance your experience of the workshop and give it more of a retreat feeling! Details about the workshop: When you sign up for the workshop, the organizer will send you all necessary information about times, exact location, what to bring and any other information you might need to have a wonderful stay. We start on Thursday the 11th of June at noon. We end the workshop on Sunday the 14th in the afternoon, around 4-5 pm. In the evenings there is free time, to spend at your own leisure. Arriving to Schiphol on Thursday morning and leaving in the evening on the Sunday will work fine, as the venue is only 30 minutes from airport. The price of the 4-day workshop is € 400 per person. This is including one healthy, luscious and vegetarian meal a day, free tea, coffee, water, fruit and small snacks during the workshop. Breakfast and dinner is not included but can be prepared at the venue or eaten in a restaurant of your choice (recommendations available from organizer). On the first day, the offered meal will be a dinner instead of a lunch, as the workshop starts at noon. On one hand, being true to one's self, identifying our inner demons and turning them to our advantage is a good way to view life. On the other, it can be taken too far, as this book does. While I do not want masks in my closest relationships, I also do want them in others.
