Thank you very much for your high attention to the 2019-nCoV pneumonia epidemic in China, as well as your concern and support for Xiangya. On behalf of all Xiangya people, I sincerely thank you for your letter.

As of February 9, there are 37,251 confirmed cases and 28,942 suspected cases, 2,651 people cured, and 812 deaths in China. China is actively taking various measures to fight the 2019-nCoV pneumonia epidemic, and Chinese people are working closely together to join in this fight.

Xiangya also quickly responded to the national call to fight the epidemic, shouldered the responsibility of protecting the lives of people. At present, the three Xiangya hospitals are doing the work of epidemic prevention, screening and treatment in Province, providing advice for the policymaking of prevention and control of the epidemic in Hunan, and dispatching experts and medical staff to support Yiyang, and other regional and municipal hospitals in Hunan. The number of new confirmed cases and suspected cases in Hunan Province as a whole showed a downward trend, and the number of discharges gradually increased. At the same time, Xiangya people have sent medical teams to to support the frontline work of epidemic prevention and control. On January 21st, Wu Anhua, the Professor of the Infection Control Center of Xiangya Hospital of CSU went to Wuhan as the first expert from to support Wuhan. On January 26, Xiangya Hospital set up a National Medical Team of five nursing experts to support Wuhan. On January 27, the Second Xiangya Hospital set up a National Medical Team of five blood purification nurses to assist Wuhan. On February 4, the 42 medical personnel of The Second Xiangya Hospital, and 10 various medical rescue vehicles formed a National Emergency Medical Rescue Team to support Wuhan. From February 7th to 8th, Xiangya Hospital, The Second Xiangya Hospital, and Third Xiangya Hospital each sent 130 people (30 doctors and 100 nurses), and a total of 390 people assisted Wuhan.

I will convey the strong messages of your letter to all my colleagues in Xiangya. I believe that all of our Xiangya people will work together to combat this current crisis.
