The World of Illy Iperespresso Machines Just Got Bigger, with New Models to Suit All Tastes The world of illy Iperespresso machines just got bigger, with new models to suit all tastes X9, X7.1 Sunrise e Y5 Milk, three new espresso machines are added to the illy range of products for making great coffee at home October 7, 2014 – The arrival of new models in the illy range of coffee machines for the Iperespresso illy system: X9, X7.1 Sunrise Limited Edition and Y5 Milk. Three new models designed and created to satisfy every need. The first is the X9 , designed by Cosimo Fusco, with an innovative design that is extraordinary in every detail. The elliptical shape and the all-over chromed aluminium surface transform this home-appliance into an item of interior design: it is also easy to use with its compact size and front operation. What is more, the electronic chip, the push technology, and the cup light while the coffee is being made, all guarantee a perfect result. The X9 is a genuine preview: in 2014, it will only be sold online at shop.illy.com and in illy stores in Italy. The second new model is the Y5 Milk Iperespresso: this is the first illy Iperespresso machine with the "one touch milk” feature that allows you to prepare six different drinks with just a single touch: from normal espresso and americano, to hot or macchiato milk, cappuccino, and hot water for tea and herbal teas. Its front operation, ease of use, compact size, and the removable milk compartment for fridge storage, make the machine functional, complete, and right for every need: the ideal model to start to enjoy the vast world of illy flavours at home. To complete the new line, illy is presenting a limited edition of its icon: X7.1 Sunrise Limited Edition . Designed by Luca Trazzi, this machine features a unique design and is extremely easy to use. Iperespresso illy is a technological innovation protected by five patents, and was entirely designed and developed by the illycaffè Research & Innovation laboratories for making espresso coffee at home. The capsule is the real system innovation for it is a true extraction chamber. Unlike traditional preparation, where the espresso is produced in one stage, in the new capsule, the percolation of the coffee is in two phases: infusion and emulsion. This double process ensures an optimum extraction of all the aromas of the coffee, giving an espresso with unprecedented softness, body and aroma, with a rich and velvety cream that is extremely long- lasting. The infusion releases and brings out all the flavours, while the emulsion gives a dense velvety long-lasting cream. The coffee never comes in contact with any part of the machine: this guarantees an unequalled pure and uncontaminated taste.
