Amell will next be seen starring in the CW’s sci-fi, drama series “The Tomorrow People,” produced by Julie Plec and Greg Berlanti. “Tomorrow People” revolves around several young people from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution and who work together to defeat the forces of evil. He can also be seen in an eight-episode arch on MTV’s new series “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous.” Amell recently starred as a regular on the NBC series “1600 Penn.” In 2011-2012 he was cast as the lead character in the Fox pilot “Like Father,” created and directed by Bill Lawrence and also in Marc Cherry’s ABC pilot “Hallelujah.” Amell broke out on the scene starring as Jimmy on Nickelodeon’s “True Jackson VP” opposite Keke Palmer. In addition, Amell has also been seen guest-starring on such popular television shows as “Hot in Cleveland,” “Hawaii 5-0,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “CSI: NY,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “How I Met Your Mother” and had a recurring role on the ABC hit series “Revenge.” He also starred as the lead character of Fred in Cartoon Network’s made-for-TV original movies “Scooby Doo! Born in Toronto, Ontario, Amell’s journey to Tinseltown wasn’t like most young actors. While his mother had secured a commercial and print agent for him at the age of six, Amell was never (more) HALLMARK CHANNEL/‘THE HUNTERS’ – Cast Bios – Page 3 consumed with Hollywood and concentrated his efforts into sports. He was one of the best hockey players in his high school and had thoughts of going pro when everything changed. Amell was a junior in high school when he was called in for his first-ever movie audition for a featured role as Eugene Levy and Carmen Electra’s son Daniel in the motion picture “Cheaper By the Dozen 2.” He fit the mold of the character so well, that the writers gave him a line to say, and then another, and then another. His character eventually turned into a strong supporting role and Amell caught the acting bug. When he isn’t acting, one of Amell’s passions is being a part of One Heartland, a non-profit charity that helps children with HIV and AIDS. He loves to participate in the annual summer camps that bring children from all over the world (most from poverty) to the camps in Malibu and Minnesota to give them an expense-free week of fun and games. ### KEENAN TRACEY (Tripp Flynn) — Canadian actor Keenan Tracey’s credits include the Disney Channel movie “16 Wishes” and Nickelodeon’s “Rags,” a retelling of the Cinderella story with a male in the lead.
