“Can We Get a Cleanup On Aisle 2?” Previous: The Antisocial Fantasies of Jude the Obscure by Matthew Risling “Can We Get a Cleanup On Aisle 2?”: How Film Critics Mopped Up the Transgressions of Jenny McCarthy’s Dirty Love Sara Swain Pivot is published through Open Journal Systems (OJS) at York University 2 Introduction Dirty Love (John Asher, 2005) is the consequence of Jenny McCarthy’s fearless foray into the risky territory of the gross-out comedy. The film endured a long and laborious gestation period under the threat of financial ruin. The project began as a sitcom pilot that McCarthy had initially penned for Fox Television. Fox passed, deeming the project “too edgy and too controversial for TV” “Can We Get a Cleanup On (qtd. in Kevin Aisle 2?”: Williamson). But McCarthy and her How Film Critics Mopped Up the production team could Transgressions of Jenny McCarthy’s not be dissuaded. They Dirty Love bought the rights back Sara Swain from Fox and McCarthy went to work transforming the script into a feature film (Kates). She insists that she never wanted to be a writer but because of the dearth of onscreen comedic roles for women, she was forced to take matters into her own hands (qtd. in Sobczynski). Dirty Love eventually debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in late January 2005, where it was warmly received. John Cooper, the Festival’s Programming Director, lauded the filmmakers in the program notes for so brazenly travelling “across a comic minefield where few dare to tread.” Soon after the film was picked up for distribution.

  • My Open Letter to Jenny Mccarthy Russ Davis
my open letter to jenny mCcarthy Russ davis From: Russ Davis, student/writer; Puyallup, Washington To: Jenny McCarthy, model/comedienne/actress/author/activist; Weehawken, New Jersey Subject: Why I Oppose You and Your Activism Dear Ms. McCarthy, Before all else, let me tell you exactly who I am. My name is Russ Davis, and I am an autistic. On the spectrum. Whatever you want to call it. In June 2000, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syn- drome; I’m now made to understand that’s not a thing anymore. No matter. I still tell people that I have Asperger’s, but my concern is not over what label my fellow autistics choose to use. My concern is that autistics keep in mind that we should not be enemies with each other–––we should be enemies with people who want to destroy who we are. Last night, I had the strangest dream. I dreamt that I final- ly had a chance to meet you in person and tell you everything I’ve always wanted to tell you. Because, for all the statements you’ve given on autism, I don’t think you’ve ever been willing to sit down with an actual autistic person to see how we really feel (except for your son, but the public doesn’t get to hear his side of the story). Well, last night, your dream self granted me that opportunity. Let me tell you right now what I told her last night. I am a human being with dreams. I want to be a published author.

  • Frankie Muniz Denies Being Suicidal During Fight with Girlfriend
Frankie Muniz Denies Being Suicidal During Fight With Girlfriend Police were called to former Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz’s house after a fight with his girlfriend turned serious, according to People. His publicist girlfriend, Elycia Turnbow, told police that Muniz put a handgun to his head “possibly with [the] intent of committing suicide.” The actor’s rep countered, saying, “A gun played no part in the argument and was voluntarily given to the police for safekeeping… He was not suicidal.” Ironically, Muniz was the one who called police to the residence, complaining that Turnbow was “throwing things and hitting [him].” What are some ways to keep fights from escalating? Cupid’s Advice: When things get heated between you and a partner, it’s important not to lose control. Cupid has some tips on how to keep a lover’s quarrel from turning ugly: 1. Think ahead: Remember the last time you fought and you said things you wish you could take back? Next time, think carefully before you do or say something you’ll regret later. 2. Slow down: Take a step back from the situation before things get out of control. By pausing for a minute and taking some deep breaths, you can stop the fight from escalating. 3. Never resort to violence: If you’re feeling so worked up that you’re considering physical violence, walk away from the situation immediately and tell your mate you can talk later, once you’ve both calmed down..

  • October 31, 2017 Jason Biggs Upgrades with Manhattan Pad
October 31, 2017 http://variety.com/2017/dirt/real-estalker/jason-biggs-manhattan-apartment-1202602610/ Jason Biggs Upgrades With Manhattan Pad (EXCLUSIVE) Location: New York City, N.Y. Price: $6.975 million Size: 2,932 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms By Mark David A well-placed little birdie sent word via covert communiqué that “Orange Is the New Black” actor Jason Biggs and writer-actress Jenny Mollen, creator and co-star with Biggs of the autobiographical digital series “I Like You Just the Way I Am,” have substantially upgraded their residential circumstances in lower Manhattan with the just shy of $7 million purchase of a family-size apartment in a discreetly plush, newly converted West Village building. The Biggs-Mollens’ new digs, with double-glazed UV-protected windows and solid oak floors in a classically stylish herringbone pattern, measures in at almost 3,000 square feet with four en suite bedrooms plus a small study and 4.5 bathrooms. The spacious, unconventionally shaped combination living-dining area stretches to 30 feet long, and the open-concept kitchen is finely finished with both exposed and painted mahogany cabinetry. Residents of the building are pampered with an enviable list of luxuries, such as a fully staffed lobby with a fireplace, a courtyard garden, a paneled library curated by Assouline Publishing, a spa with men’s and women’s steam rooms and a fitness facility with a wood-paneled gym, a half-court basketball court and a climbing wall. Biggs and Mollen previously owned a secluded 2.5-acre estate with a hacienda-style residence and guesthouse in the Benedict Canyon area of Beverly Hills that they snagged in late 2013 for $3.9 million and sold less than two years later for $4.5 million.
