The meeting opened at 3.10 pm on Monday, 14 March 2005, with Peter Štastný, vice- chairman, in the chair.

The election took place on Tuesday 15 March just after the Meeting with Embassador Carlos Pérez del Castillo.
Mr Giulietto Chiesa (ALDE) has been elected unanimously as the new 3rd Vice-President replacing Mr Jean-Marie Cavada.
