COMMUNION RITE The leader of prayer goes to where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved, genuflects, takes the ciborium, and places it on the altar. He or she then returns to the designated chair.

LORD’S PRAYER

INVITATION TO COMMUNION (taken from the Missal) (OMIT IF COMMUNION NOT DISTRIBUTED) All Kneel.

The leader returns to the altar, genuflects, and says: Leader: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb. All: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed. The leader communes and then communion is distributed to other assisting ministers (if necessary) and then to the assembly.
