Cycling is the new golf

No, these are not my own words, but headlines in De Telegraaf and The Financial Times. As the director of Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders Centre), I have seen this firsthand. The attention paid to “a healthy mind in a healthy body” is bigger than ever. A lot of succesful business people love to present themselves as keen cyclists within the cycling community. Max Levchin (CEO Paypal), Dennis Muilenburg (CEO The Boeing Company), and Arne Sorenson (CEO Marriot International) ride their bikes despite their very full schedules. Since October 2016, I have been in charge as the director of Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders Centre). It was high time for me to ride my bike more regularly. I consider a cycling tour as a valuable time investment with a double payback.

We have been organizing After Work Rides since 2018. It is a monthly occasion to meet our partners and other interested people for a bike ride of about 50 kilometres. We do not want to turn this into a competition. Always together, together till the end. After the ride, we refuel our energy together as well. That is a great opportunity for companies to enlarge their network. Guided cycling tour A bike guide can show your team how team work makes the dream work by organizing a range of activities with and without the bike. Are you the super- domestique who leads out the leader to the finish or do you prefer the role of team captain who manages the situation in the right direction? Prices are available at request.

When a year approaches the finish line, you probably want to prepare for the start of a new season. It is time to look back to the old season and look forward tot he new one. What direction we will ride to? What are the climbs we are facing? What is the strategy we will adopt? Make a toast with your entire team on what has been and what will be! For New Year celebrations, you are at the right place at The Tour of Flanders Centre. You can organize your New Year’s reception here in the ‘Peloton Café’ or in 1 of our meeting rooms if you would like to use our audiovisual facilities. New Year is not the only occasion to raise a glass. The reception formulas mentioned below will be adapted depending on the season. It is also possible to send us a request for a custom package.
