Having attracted successful, world-class riders such as Wout van Aert and Tony Martin, we see many more possibilities to achieve our goals. Primoz Roglic is ready and willing to show what he can do in the Giro d’Italia; Dylan Groenewegen and Steven Kruijswijk have ambitious plans during the Tour de France; and Wout van Aert will of course participate in the classic events. You can join the Team Jumbo-Visma as a guest on a competition day and experience the excitement during a route; meet the riders or join the chaos during a stage, for example, the Tour of Flanders or the Tour de France. In cooperation with TUI, Team Jumbo-Visma offers exclusive hospitality arrangements. A fantastic, unique experience for every cyclist and sport fan! This is a three-day competition in Limburg, the Netherlands, where no individual rider wins, but where the goal is the ultimate team performance. Team Jumbo-Visma will compete in three disciplines (climbing, sprinting and team pursuit for three straight days against other professional cycling teams from around the world. Seven hundred and ten professional riders (Mean + SD: 27.9 + 4.2 years, 1.81 + 0.06 m, 68.6 + 6.33 kg) were coMpared for physical characteristics (i.e. age, height, and body Mass). The top 25% within rider specialties were selected as the saMple group based upon Pro Cycling Stats points General Classification, sprinter, tiMe-trialists, one-day racer earned during the previous season. An additional rider classification was created for those riders outside of the top 25% of all categories called DoMestique. General Classification riders in the WT were older than PC, however, there were no other differences between rider specialties. However, differences were found in anthropoMetric characteristics within the different divisions (i.e. height, body Mass, body surface area, and frontal area). In conclusion, the present study identified specific physical characteristic differences between the different types of professional cyclist levels of riders (WT vs. PC) and within their specialty of rider, which May deterMine when a rider May Move to the WT froM the PC.     Settle (Yorkshire), Friday, April 29 th , 2016 TOUR DE YORKSHIRE 2016 – STAGE 1 : A BREATH OF FRESH AIR SWEEPS THROUGH YORKSHIRE The wet, windy inaugural stage of the second edition of the Tour de Yorkshire came down to a mass sprint in Settle, where rising star Dylan Groenewegen claimed a prestigious victory on English soil mirroring LottoNL–Jumbo teammate Moreno Hofland's win last year. The 22-year-old Dutchman was simply too fast for two other up- and-coming sprinters, Aussie Caleb Ewan and German Niklas Arndt, at the end of a stage which saw the six-man breakaway shut down before the pack entered the closing circuit. A FRIGID APRIL Pro cyclists will be having nightmares about this April for a long time. Rain pounded the sign- on podium in the charming town of Beverley, start of the first stage of the Tour de Yorkshire, where temperatures barely reached 7 °C. Unfazed by the weather, throngs of fans came out to root for the 141 brave riders, including a certain Sir Bradley Wiggins ready to get some miles in his legs in his quest to claim a new Olympic gold in Rio. As if by magic, the rain stopped and the first rays of sunshine timidly cracked through the clouds in time for the start of the race at 11:54 am. A ROCKY START Disaster struck in the very first kilometre, when a group of about twenty riders hit the deck and Jeandesboz (DEN), Simon (COF) and Bystrøm (KAT) were knocked out of the race. It was at this point that a six-man breakaway consisting of Williams (ONE), Politt (KAT), Cronshaw (MGT), Briggs (JLT), Wallays (TSV) and Mora (RAL) slipped away.
