Konu Dizini PROJE ORTAKLARI HAKKINDA Değişimi Birlikte Savunma (ACT), gelişimsel ve diğer engelliler tarafından ve onlar için yürütülen bir engelli hakları taban örgütüdür. ACT’nin misyonu, engellilerin kendilerini daha büyük bir engelli hakları hareketinin bir parçası olarak görmelerine yardımcı olmak ve diğer sivil insan hakları uğraşlarıyla bağlantılar kurmaktır. Blue Law, LLP, uluslararası hukuk ve uluslararası gelişim programlama konularında uzmanlaşmış, vazife malulü, tecrübeli kişiler tarafından kurulmuş bir hukuk firmasıdır. Merkezi Washington DC’de bulunan Blue Law’ın insan hakları ve engellilik uygulama grubu; uluslararası gelişim planlamasına engelliliğin dahil edilmesinde dünya çapında ilerleme sağlamak üzere engelli kuruluşları, uluslararası insan hakları kuruluşları ve hükümetlerle çalışmaktadır. Uluslararası Engelliler Örgütü (DPI), ulusal çapta engelli örgütleri ve birliklerinin toplandığı, taban örgütlerinden insanların farklı engellilik halleri için kurduğu tek global ağdır. DPI’ın hedefleri tam katılım, fırsat eşitliği ve gelişim yoluyla engelli haklarını ilerletmek, engellilerin ekonomik ve sosyal entegrasyonunu teşvik etmek ve engelli kuruluşlarını geliştirip desteklemektir. 1981’de kurulmuş, merkezi Kanada, St John’s’da bulunan DPI, 140’tan fazla ülkede faaliyet göstermektedir. Engelliliğe İlişkin Harvard Projesi (HPOD), Harvard Hukuk Bölümü’nde bulunmakta olup, öncelikle Birleşmiş Milletler Engelli Hakları Sözleşmesi’nin uygulamaya konulması yoluyla engelliler için şartları geliştirmeye adanmış disiplinler arası bir hukuk ve politika merkezidir. HPOD, hükümetlere ve ulusal insan hakları kuruluşlarına yerel engelliler yasaları ve politikalarına ilişkin tavsiyelerde bulunur, uluslararası ve yerel engellilere ve temsilci kuruluşlara kapasite geliştirme ve insan hakları eğitimleri sağlar, akademik araştırmalar yürütür. HPOD, Açık Toplum Enstitüsü (Zug) tarafından mali olarak desteklenmektedir.
