As of 25 September 2018, the exchange rate was 0.96 CHF for 1 USD. Credit cards are accepted in most hotels and restaurants in Geneva. Immigration and visa Please assure that your passport is valid for at least six months. Visa: 1. Depending on your nationality, you might need a visa to travel to Switzerland, please click here to check. 2. If you have a valid Schengen visa you do not need to apply for an additional Swiss one. 3. This includes buses, trams, trains, and yellow taxi-boats - Mouettes. Just ask for it upon arrival an the recep- tion at your hotel. Free ticket at the airport When arriving at Geneva International Airport by plane, you can get your “80 minute ticket” for Geneva Public Transport (Zone 10) for free and for the duration of 80 minutes. The ticket machine for the free tickets is located at the luggage re- trieval hall and prints the free ticket without requirements or limitations. This free ticket allows you to take an airport train (train from the airport to the center), bus, tram and mouette within Gene- va. From Geneva Airport to ITC: Bus N°5 leaves approx. every 10 minutes. Disembark at the Baulacre stop to reach the ITC building. Alternatively, If you prefer to take a taxi, they can be found directly outside the arrival hall. A one-way fare to the ITC building should be no more than CHF35. From Cornavin railway station (‘Gare Cornavin’): Bus F, V, and Z connect to ITC. Disembark at the Valais stop. Alternatively, you can take tram N° 15 up to Place des Nations and walk south on Rue de Montbrillant to reach ITC. Alternatively: a 10-min walk from Gare Cornavin.
