Memberships include Individual Memberships - $15.00 and Family Memberships (receiving one publication) - $20.00. Membership in the Society, with renewal due one year from joining, include copies of The Society Messenger and Granville Connections. Members are also entitled to one query per quarter to appear in Granville Connections. New members joining after November 1 may request their membership be activated for the following year, with publication commencing in that year. Editorial Policy Granville Connections places its emphasis on material concerning persons or activities in that area known as Granville County. It includes those areas of present day Vance, Warren and Franklin Counties before they became independent counties. Members are encouraged to submit material for consideration for publication. The editorial staff will judge the material on relevance to area, interest, usefulness and informative content. Members are encouraged to submit queries for each journal. S4bmissions must be fully documented, citing sources, or they will not be printed. Submissions will not be returned, but will be placed in the North Carolina Room at the Richard H. Thornton library, the repository for the Society. The Society, its publication committee or the Editor cannot assume responsibility for errors in submissions for publication. Every effort will be made to minimize these types of errors as well as typographical errors made by the staff. Corrections will be noted in subsequent issues. William PARK produced a power of Attorney from Robert CRAWFORD, Robert Mclintock and C'o +vt-ERCHANTS to the said PARK which was proved by the Seal of the City of Glasgow & subscribed by the present Lord provost of the said City agreeable to an Act of parliament made in fifth year of King George the second. The said power being dated the 4th day of June 17 67. Order' d that the said Power of Attorney be admitted to record. A Deed of Bargain & Sale from William MOORE to Daniel POTTER for 400 acres dated the 7th of September 1767. Ack'd. - M.O.R. Julius NICHOLS Esq'r produced a Commission from under the hand & seal of His Excellency the Govemour dated the 19th day of May 1767 appointing him Sheriff for the County of Bute the ensuing Year; took the Oaths of Government subscribed the Test & took the Oath of a sheriff and enter'd into Bond with Benjamin PERSON, Thomas BELL, John HAWKINS & William MOORE securities approved of by the county .. Francis CAPPS appointed constable in the rome of Joshua CAPPS who was Qualified according to Law.
