The dramatic curved staircase leads to the mezzanine double height lobby. The lobby’s design and materials establish a relationship with the surrounding landscape and piazza, while taking inspiration from the area’s industrial heritage. This is reflected in the textured, leathered grey stone of the floor; the oiled steel of the staircase and balustrade; the metal framing detail to the stone walls. A contemporary chandelier of illuminated brass rods has been commissioned from renowned lighting designers, Random, specifically for the building.

SPECIFICATION

Master Bathroom Space in the master bathrooms is optimised to provide double vanity counters and to create a luxurious yet calm hotel-like feel. The basins and bathtub are under-mounted to stone for a sleek modern look, with Dornbracht basin and shower fixtures. The large format stone flooring has a finish reminiscent of concrete – another reference to the area’s industrial heritage – with a touch of glamour introduced by the floating stone-clad vanity counter. Storage is discreetly concealed behind the counter’s heated mirrors.

Kitchen A base palette of faded oak herringbone timber flooring extends throughout the apartments. There are two primary palettes. The ‘urban’ palette is deeper and combines dark stained timber veneer with copper tones, while the lighter ‘loft’ palette combines a soft grey stained timber with white stone. In the two-bedroom apartment, the smart timber veneer joinery of the kitchen provides a sleek backdrop to the dining area. LEDs mounted to the underside of cabinets provide both mood and task lighting.
