A dozen things Labour Councillors will do for

1. We will complete the work we have started to create exciting and sympathetic new uses for 's Victorian halls.

2. We will ensure more affordable homes are built for purchase and rent and we will build more council houses.

3. Thanks to your Labour Council the Ferro Alloys Chimney will now come down and affordable homes built; we will make sure this happens quickly;

4. We will work to improve the standard of private rented accommodation and target rogue landlords and agents in Glossopdale. We will develop our Landlords’ Accreditation Scheme to provide incentives for good

5. We will press to regain full public access to George Street Wood for all Glossop residents and seek to remove the current fences.

6. We will continue to ensure that Glossop and Hadfield remain vibrant shopping centres despite difficult trading conditions.

7. We will continue to provide high quality support for businesses throughout High Peak, growing the business sector, creating good local jobs and improving the standard of living for all residents.

8. We will offer a recycling service for local businesses

9. We will use new powers to tackle anti-social behaviour ranging from noisy neighbours to dog-fouling.

10. We will campaign to maintain concessionary bus passes in Glossopdale in the face of Tory Government efforts to remove them.

11. We will continue to work with voluntary and community groups who wish to get involved in supporting the council to deliver services in Glossopdale.

12. We will continue to hold our ‘open-air’ surgeries in Glossop Arcade.
