There, the tribe’s youth were able to work on their basketball skills with former players. The camp was free for the 65 youth who attended, and allowed them to get a feel for life in the college dorms where they were housed for two nights. That was off the court. On the court, participants worked on things such as their de- fense and ball-handling. Coaching the camp was Concordia University of Wisconsin standout DeShaun Robinson, who played in 18 games during his senior year at the university. Robinson said he was impressed with what he saw from many of the youth, and applauded them during the final team meeting. On the last day of camp, the children were each given a free basketball to take home with them.
