The most precious one is the 5610- meter Damavand Mountain, the top of Iran. Besides, there are a lot of 4000-meter peaks all around Damavand villages. Iran’s ski areas reach altitudes that overshadow those of even the highest resorts in the Alps. Val Thorens, Europe’s loftiest resort, sits at 2,300m with slopes ascending to just over 3,000m, and the highest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc, rockets to 4,810m. In comparison, Mount Damavand in Iran reaches 5,610m – just 285m short of Mount Kilimanjaro – and the resorts in the area all sit comfortably over 2,000m, with the ski areas reaching 3,600m and above. The predominantly dry air that hits the Alborz Mountains from the desert means that the slopes and backcountry terrain are covered in light dry There are four ski resorts in the Alborz powder, the perfect recipe for off-piste skiing. The method in this paper is qualitative and also action research and tools of data collection are documental and interviewing research participants. It is worth mentioning that the present research, in its theoretical framework and data analysis, follows the Butler theory. Findings of the study show that Ardabil province has significant potentials for tourist attraction. It attracts local communities for employment in geoparks and tourism marketing in the form of investments in ecotourism, rural tourism and health geotourism. Geotourism is closely related to the geology of treatment. One of these is the spa spring that has the therapeu- tic potential and plays a significant role in attracting domestic and foreign tourists. For this purpose the status of 11 hot springs in the geographical range between Ardabil city and Sarein city has been investigated in terms of parameters such as discharge, tem- perature, pH and anions and cations. However, this geographical area also has a number of natural and human hazards the most important of which is the occurrence of killing earthquakes. The earthquake of February 28, 1997 killed nearly 1000 people and destroyed many villages. The presence of spa springs on or near the faults and the establishment of recreational facilities in the area have threatened investment in the area. In this regard the status of clay, silt and sand percentage, Liquefaction Limit and Plasticity PI index in the study area were studied. It was observed that if in clay formations the amount of dough is about 40 to 50 percent and soil moisture reaches 25 to 35 percent there is a possibility of demolition of buildings and asphalt.

In this fourth report of the BBSG’s activities, 2015 has been the best year so far, with accelerating progress towards our goal of evaluating the extinction risk of all ca 260 species of bumblebees worldwide using the IUCN Red List Criteria. Red List assessments have now been made for all of the European bumblebees plus 79 New World species. Sampling done in two altitude gradients (20-3300m) and 25 sites at the rangelands of the northern Ardabil province in 2016. In each site, PFTs ANPP and soil were sampled. In laboratory soil variables including Soil Texture, Dispersible Clay, Bulk Density, Volumetric Soil Water Content, Saturation Percent, pH, EC, Organic Matter, Particulate Organic Matter, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphorous, Sodium, Soluble Potassium, Exchangeable Potassium, Lime and Carbonate were measured. Cluster analysis was used to group sites based on soil variables. ANOVA and Tukey tests were employed to compare the value of ANPP and soil variable at different groups resulting from cluster analysis.

The paper also seeks to elicit (1) which Europe- an countries employ territorial impact assessment when designing various national policies and (2) how this tool is used in different governance environments. Particular attention is paid to the case of Czechia. The paper elaborates upon the state-of-the-art tools used on a national level and analyses the motivation of actors on regional and local levels to use such tools in their decision-making process. The research shows that EU member states that employ this tool can be categorized into four groups, for instance, depend- ing on whether they enrich other impact assessments tools by territorial aspects, or whether they focus coherence of regional development strategies and sectoral strategies. Territorial impact assessment is not implemented in Czechia, although recent years have witnessed an upsurge of interest concerning territorial aspects of investments.
